This page is really needed?

I expected skepticism about this page to arise, so here's my response to this.

Is it really needed? No, not really. I'm fairly certain everyone could sleep easily at night without this profile on VSBW.

But then again, there are a fair number of other profiles that shouldn't really have a place here within a similar context. By that logic, pages such as the Goldfish profile or the Ariel (Disney) profile don't have a place here either.

What makes him unique, and what I feel should give him at least the benefit of the doubt, is his intelligence, or rather, the lack thereof. It has been stated that Heihei is likely the most stupid character in all of Disney by the co-director of the movie, and that does give him some ground to stand on in terms of uniquity, and he does make a fairly sizeable impression within the world of Moana, much like other animal companions such as Pascal from Tangled or Abu from Aladdin. Enough so to even get a small cameo in Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks The Internet.

So, to summarize my points, is it needed? No. But is it a pointless profile? I'd like to think not. He is a unique and notable enough character within his source material to justify a profile, and at the end of the day, it really doesn't hurt anything to have it on here.

Goldfish makes sense because it's a real world profile. Ariel makes sense since she has a ton of powers. Heihei's just dumb.

Okay, fair enough about Ariel. I was remembering back when that profile sucked.

But a goldfish? Even under this supposed protection of being a Real World profile, that still doesn't explain why it exists when there are many other types of fish that would be more qualified to be given a profile on here.

And to be frank, Heihei simply is just a Chicke, but very stupid. However, it's low intelligence is what makes it extremely unique among other chickens. It's a variable that, for me at least, should give it just enough to justify a profile.

Though if it's really that much of a bother for everyone, I suppose it could be removed. As I said, it's not really hurting anything, but if it's too much trouble to have a character such as this on the site, then it's not really too much to axe it. I'll be very sad, though.

I don't have a strong opinion on whether it should stay or leave, but you shouldn't cite real world profiles to say that it should stay.

I really don't think profiles for random animals in media would generally be accepted to stay just because real world has them. Most character's non-extraordinary pets don't get profiles, animals they pass by don't get profiles, some fodder hostile animals that pop up for an episode or two don't get profiles, etc.

I'm not sure about Heihei but real world profiles have more leniency for being allowed because they're real. There would be other types of fish profiles allowed, but no-one's bothered to make them, I guess.

I personally don't particularly mind the profile.

Okay, I suppose that it was wrong to attack the Real World profiles just to defend this one, and for that, I'll own up and apologize for it. I was just trying to show that in terms of high quality profiles, this site...well, it doesn't exactly have the best track record. (The fact that SCP-871 or Composite Tree were things kinda proves that point.)

I honestly felt that Heihei was different enough from a normal chicken to qualify for a profile, and unlike some other profiles that were basically made for the lols such as this, I did my best to create as high of a quality profile that I could with what I had. I suppose the fact that I poured so much time into it also got me defensive about it, which is likely another reason why I lashed out. But I still believe that there's not much of a problem with it, and considering Ant's comment, it seems that this is a fairly safe assumption to make.

I appreciate the caution you guys are bringing to the table about it, but I think that Heihei is okay enough to stay for the time being.

Yes, it can stay. Should we close this thread?

Yes, I believe that every point has been pretty much made here, so this can probably be closed.

Also, seriously, Heihei almost got axed here and it was barely saved by people who cared about it. Does this thing have Supernatural Luck or something, I mean, really.
