The Revenant Marvel Comics Discussion Thread

Am I the only one who thinks Reed Richards should be 5-B? He's fought Doom many times in 1v1, particularly in the finale of the 2015 Secret Wars.

Really don't know why we are currently treating him as a street level.

Has anyone here read much of the Invaders? Reading the 70s series now and I might do a CRT adding some of the characters, like OG Human Torch and some of the Axis villains, unless someone else wants to.

The only thing I know about the og human torch is what I read in all new invaders where the Kree went after him for the God's whisper. I didn't even knew that there was one before Johnny until I read that story.

Kinda late to the Halloween thing, but been rereading Marvel Zombies and my god is it so stupid and unnessarily bleak. Also everyone except Spidey is basically the same character and they all talk the same way "Gah, i'm hungry, i want to eat people" ad infinitum. And most disappointing of it all is the ending or lack thereof.

DC did it better

I never much cared for the concept, honestly, especially since they infect characters that should be essentially be immune to disease like Thor

Marvel Zombies just made no sense in general. Especially how the last heroes were infected. You're telling me Dr Strange couldn't just magic them out? Thor somehow got bitten by the Fantastic Four? Wolverine turned quickly despite Spiderman's far weaker healing factor keeping him stable for a decent time? Etc.

Sometimes bad writing is just bad writing 🤷‍♂️

Well that's a good base to scale the Ultimates and their enemies to. Ultimate Banner's use of the Iron Fist hits with the force of 15 Hiroshimas.

Edit: And here's America taking a hit that is the force of 18 Hiroshimas

And Tony being hit with 32 Hiroshimas

Also Banner can grip with a one megaton force.

I have a few things to asks/state:

The duality of being and non-being have been consistently referred to throughout Marvel Comics, Wouldn't In-Betweener embody those as he is intended to be the essence of all dualities within Marvel ?

Also, wouldn't The One Above All transcend such a duality due to his/her/their nature of transcendence over the Marvel Universe ?

Keep in mind I don't know if transcending the duality of being and non-being, or embodying such a duality would result in an upgrade from their current High 1-A stuff, but it's nice to ask anyways just in-case.

Does anyone plan to include what we saw in G.O.D.S. into cosmology? How the 8th cosmos now works in pairs, Abstracts as well, like Tribunal and Oblivion, etc.

Well Oblivion is now the equal of the Living Tribunal, so either the LT is weaker or Oblivion is much stronger.

As far a intel feats goes, it doesn't only relate to engineering, but tactics/strategy and planning. If one can outwit/manipulate a entity of higher tiers, than that should count as something.

I probably have plans to upgrade Nate Grey. He's remarked as the most powerful psionic being in any reality despite the existence of Phoenix Avatars and other such, and is stated to be capable of tearing the astral plane asunder, which means he's able to significantly affect it with his psionics. Apocalypse remarks him as the most powerful being the world has ever known. He's also directly compared to Green Phoenix / Dark Phoenix in ability at some of his earliest appearances.

Iirc he's been stated to be in the power levels similar to Phoenix powered Jean, so possibly peaking somewhere around 1-A. Also, he has i believe Low Godly regen with recreating his body through psionics and a shit ton of hax (ontop of being the strongest Telepath).

From Street level to second highest Tier, based

From Street level to second highest Tier, based
Character: Exists

Marvel: Yup, you could definitely use some Tier 1.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this thread if you haven't already: https://vsbattles.com/threads/marve...skyfather-upgrades-and-thor-revisions.171959/
I need some more input to conclude this thread. We are discussing upgrading Skyfathers, and Thor's peak, to 1-A based on Yggdrasil. I am knowledgeable on Marvel and Thor, but not on Tier 1 stuff on the wiki. So basically I'd like people knowledgeable on Marvel Cosmology and 1-A to provide input. Also need staff in general.
