Well it's not like Dark Genie can kill Kratos.

Well they can't permanently stop each other from what I can see. Kratos can Petrify Dark Genie but another one will take it's place. Dark Genie can BFR Kratos but like Kaguya, it follows them and if Kratos destroys it, he'll be brought back to the battlefield and another Dark Genie takes its place.

I don't see any reason Dark Genie doesn't eventually BFR Kratos but decide not to follow it
