Hello.

I just checked through a few of the Image Comics character profiles, and noticed that they recurrently seem to have no valid motivations for their statistics.

Would other members be willing to help out with checking through them, and list the ones with none, or invalid, motivations within this forum thread?

Then we can start placing the suspicious entries at Unknown ratings.

I'm not a fan of comics so I can't help with determining if the motivations for the stats are valid or not, but I'll list the ones I see with none or suspicious.

No motivation listed: Wolf-Ma, God, The Killer, Omnipotus (Physical stats), Chupacabra (Apparently scaled to Wolf-Man), Sata, Allegra, Song, Suprema, Supreme (Second Key, apparently scaled to Suprema), Mister Immortal, Allen the Alie (First Key), Radar the Hound Supreme (Apparently scaled to Supreme), Best Tiger, Brit, Dragon Prince, Firebreather. Haunt, Kid Omni-Ma.

Outru is scaled to Wolf-Man.

Jackie Estacado's base Durability comes from tanking blows from Hulk, Ghost Rider and Superman.

Well, Alan Moore's version of Suprema, Supreme, and Radar do have a few feats to scale from.

Thank you very much for the help in any case.

also in the case of suprmea the universe thing... didnt it work in a magical mechanism? also is she shown at those levels consistently or at least reasonably over her comic stories? if that was a one time thing then it cud have been the magical mechanism which helped

@TLT1 It was a one time thing, as far as I remember, but she did it on her own. Still, it might count as an outlier.

so maybe it can be explained as aided by magical mechanisms (since it was mentioned as a magical thing), so what are her general displays for tiering then?

I don't remember a lot of feats for either of them. Alan Moore's run on the Supreme book was rather brief, so we did not get the chance.

The greatest explicit feats were from Suprema's introduction to the League of Infinity, which is what we scale her from. However, this contradicts that she was helpless against Gorrl the Living Galaxy.

I am afraid that I do not remember any other specific feats, but Moore's Supreme stories were based on Pre-Crisis Superman in terms of tone.

I have adjusted the "God", "Satan", and Spawn profiles to Unknown ratings, as well as the unmotivated Jackie Estacado ratings.

I have now attempted to modify the rest of the profiles that LazyHunter linked to. Feel free to mention any others.

I known that i'm late but, shouldn't Image have similar scaling rules like Marvel or DC?

Possibly, although only between different comicbook titles. They do not have a coherent continuity at all.

I am uncertain, but suppose that placing them at unknown ratings might be best.

I have to go through the daily backlog first though.

I'm curious...

Does God, Satan, God Spawn and Mother of Existence have ANY feats?

And if not... Is there any reason why the later is consistently viewed as Omnipotent in most Versus Forums?

@Matt

The former I'm not sure about (Having not read a single Image comic)

The latter most likely simply comes from the vibe the MoE has, a being with no limitations that can be whatever they desire, and are truly supreme in their own setting.

Sounds impressive, until you actually analyze them via a tiering system.

I noted that too, when i was reading Ant, Superman and Hulk appears in there for some reasons... same way with Kurr with the Ninja Turtles; all of these seems part of the original timeline tho...

Basically, every Image Comics title has a continuity that is only reasonably consistent with itself. The authors are sometimes allowed to use each other's characters, but the stories do not affect or reflect the other Image comicbooks at all.

Erik Larsen, the author of Savage Dragon, once defined them as copy characters that live in the worlds of the other books, but that any potential crossovers simply mean that similar events happened in each world at once.
