Plating definition merriam-webster, a coating of metal. It's probably just copper over the stones.

The fact you talked about something doesn’t mean I agree with you, so you didn’t “address” anything. I am trying to go along with you, but I still fundamentally disagree with you all over the shop. The biggest one still being where explosive stand innately. And meteors being explodable. You count that as just oh they are. But no they aren’t, they start non explodable how would that not take more priority over them randomly being explodable later. Especially since there is a thing in the game very much like that at the end. The moonlord’s metal doesn’t require a particular pickaxe and can be exploded, this is despite the fact literally every other ore and the jungle temple need stronger pickaxes and (meteor and hardmode) can’t be blown up. It’s almost like it would be absolutely pointless to put that restriction onto the metal since obviously already would have the tools to mine it. Same thing with meteor, to do anything in hardmode once so ever you need stronger and stronger pickaxes, so what’s the point of locking meteor anymore, this much more clearly being the case when it being explodable in hardmode is a change post hoc. Every single boss still survives the explosion, and multiple enemies you are supposed to kill preboss survive it. And if you stretch this so absolutely broadly to when you survive it, you don’t, meaning you bring it past the power bombs which: are canonical stronger than it, blow up nearly just as much, but deal cartoonishly less damage meaning the eye of Cthulhu player survives it health wise and bosses are tickled by it. You also drag it far enough to the power bombs to make the scaling circular. Since power bombs purely exist to destroy stronger materials as there who thing yet are slightly smaller explosions and deal way less damage in game.
What about the many points I bring up that you dropped?
Also just the fact I think I was being beyond cartoonishly hyper generous to some of your points. Like the ingots just being pushes and just falling over, despite them fully just exploding like every other block.

I genuinely don't see any reason to believe that should be the case. The developers are willing to alter how much damage an enemy takes from explosions yet meteor heads are still vulnerable to explosions.

Every single boss still survives the explosion, and multiple enemies you are supposed to kill preboss survive it.

Endgame items don't one shot a lot of early game characters.

I already addressed this weird logic talking to someone else in short dungeon bricks can't be exploded period.

Because it’s a game man. One entirely designed around dps at that. Raw damage wise most weapons only deal around 100 damage to 500 yet you kill bosses with millions of health. Unless you want to say the tnt takes precedence even over the monolith’s direct statement of power, and that the entire game should be downgraded. Which doesnt line up with meteor directly stated to be invincible to tungsten and below equipment; and the entire progression of hardmode being about obtaining stronger and stronger materials which can’t be obtained by those which come before. The material which literally had a fully new bomb added specifically meant to blow up.

With how cartoonishly badly you stretch the tnt you bring it up against more and more that makes less and less sense. The golem’s energy upon death can be felt all the way to mars, Duke created a 7-B amount of fog and purely doesn’t use it because he’s 5-C, when he still has that feat, power bombs are nearly just as destructive gameplay wise, are more destructive story wise, and yet are even more survivable. The tnt scaling above the player throughout the entire game means it would be above the Terrarian’s weapons but the Terrarian kills bosses tickled by the tnt and can fight in PvP which the creator of the game has participated in. It also would make a bunch of random pre boss creatures more durable than the end game Terrarian who can survive hits from the moonlord

Interesting. How far away would mars be compared to the world you play in? Since one is on the blind spot of the universe.
Theres also the nebula pillar possibly coming from orion belt from the nebula blaze description and it bringing a planet from there, though im not good with calcs so im not really gonna do anything with this information.

(maybe stupid?) question, could terrarian get LS upgrades because of throwing items? like for example, flairon is 5-C, granting Class Z, the terrarian has to throw it really hard to do these 5-C levels of damage.

Where it seems to me that the wiki specifically says tungsten stuff can break it also Crimstone and Ebonstone exist. Name 1 non boss enemy that in classic mode, which is meant to be the standard experience, that can survive the explosion that can't just turn invulnerable or is a Dungeon Guardian.

the power bomb made out of cobalt cant break a cobalt brick.

might as well discard this bomb stuff and grab like an endgame feat and downscale from it via moonlord's organs being extremely important to get his full power back, like the fact the eye, skeleton and brain were super important pieces so that moon lord could be at his prime again.

Regarding game difficulty, if we are going to use classic mode as main difficulty, we could put a "____ mode only" in abilities and stats that change depeding on difficulty.
For example:
damage reduction (Expert mode only: worm scarf reduces incoming damage by 17%)
