While he is weak, he is really the only monster that actually instilled fear and terror and even changed a lot of characters and he did drive some aspects of the story. He's a lot more memorable than many other monsters, that's what put him above the other monsters for me. Hell, he's actually more terrifying than Garou or Orochi ever was

True, from a plot perspective he's a great villain. He set the tone for later arcs, now we know that any Gouketsu or Orochi is going to get one-punched eventually so I think it's near impossible for anyone to have the same stage presence. You've reminded me I've never shared my favorite demon and dragon level monsters.

Demon: Bug God
Dragon: Drive Knight because he's evil Gouketsu

That looks like how it will be. The subterranean images in chapter 137 were some straight "lost city of Yncan" images from Lovecraft's story "the mound". That would make God Cthulhu? If he were Yog-Soggoth or Azathoth that would be too much. How would you feel if we got some Tier 0 OPM though?
 
Azzy dreaming all of existence isn’t actually a thing, that was debunked a while ago.

Plus God being one of Nyarlathotep’s avatars would make more sense, character-wise.
 
My HC is that GOD is some kind of slumbering entity who created the universe. And everything around him are just playthings to him. To prevent them from being too dangerous to the rest of his "masterpiece" or the universe, he set limiters so that they can only grow so powerful for so long. If specific species are getting too powerful, he subconciously sends monster or whatever to wipe them out.

That's a possibility, would give OPM 3-A feats potentially. I'm just hoping we break into cosmic level with the series finale
 
I'm hoping we get tier 4 at the very least. Tier 5 would be a bit underwhelming.

Also kind hoping GOD ends up as a pretty haxed character

dragon ball started off with no hax for decades, and it finally got haxed characters now with the angels. same will happen with OPM you can count on me
 
remember the OPM discussion threads before the forum move happened? even before the forum move there were A LOT of threads. are all those threads gone forever or did someone archive them?

Yeah, God is pretty much a character that uses hax. I guess he will have some kind of ability that can rewrite reality. In the webcomic, he has shown to have some kind of ability that allows him to burn Homeless Emperor's brain and kill him, not sure what is that kind of ability tbh.
