Im a subscriber and watcher of Maximillian Dood for years, he is the biggest youtube channel and even twitch regarding fighting games after all
 
Akuma kicking the hell of your character is accurate. Also dayum RD.

Idk if its the right place to ask but i'm just curious if anyone would know or have an official JP description of the power of nothingness. And some dialogue to explain what it did for Gouken and how he and Gen survived it (from the summary it says they "emptied their souls of emotions" or smth). Cuz remember the raging demon thing? We got rid of soul hax cuz of the OG translation so I was wondering about if we have any JP scans for power of nothingness and how Gen and Gouken's fight with Akuma went and to see if what the SF wiki states about Gen's way to survive it is legit.

AFAIK we don't really have any particular insight on what it precisely is or how it works, and the SF wiki is oftentimes inaccurate and unsourced.
 
Iirc the wiki and all the youtubers people who blindly take their word for granted says he emptied his soul from sins, regret or whatever, but so far I've yet to see any source pointing even slightly at it, not even the Udon comics (which far too many take for canon) show that.

Made out shit without a source like most wikis of a series when they speculate something

Also it still goes on the basis that raging demon is a soul destroying move, which has been debunked long ago, its death and pain manip

So at the end of the day what i stated earlier is only explanation, its also explaining far better how Gill and Bison survived it compared to before
 
As for Gouken, as seen in SF4 endings, mu no ken simply as the opposite of the dark hado can withstand its deadliest move, sometimes the simplest things are the best answers
 
True. Just feels a bit weird I never see an official description of Mu no Ken even anywhere really. I'd think there be one considering how important it was for Ryu to overcome his Satsui no Hado
