The point is that if you want to upgrade the diamonds to tier 4-A to 3-C, you will need explicit evidence of the entire galaxy being drastically affected, and all that we know for a fact is that the Earth gems were affected and that's it. We require clear evidence for drastic upgrades, not for not accepting upgrades them when there is no evidence for them.
I have no problem with a speed, range, and precision upgrade though, but Sir Ovens thinks that we should stick to only giving an upgrade for this specific attack, and his sense of judgement is probably better than mine for evaluation verse-related CRTs.

I'll say what I said in the last thread. They fired the blast from Homeworld, and it created the effect while in between the Earth and Moon or from slightly beyond.
Literally every scene we see points to this being the case; in half of them, the explosion's between the moon and Earth; in one, there's an actual beam that hits Earth; in another, we see that it's not actually large enough to span galaxies, just some few hundred thousand kilometres of space, by the time it's right up against the moon.
There's a few things I have to contest, though.
A) Even though I sort of remember some statement somewhere (probably just the Mandela effect), we need to actually prove it didn't come from Homeworld. I'm pretty sure it was, so MFTL is fine for now. I don't think there's anything to contradict it except some outliers. Plus, it's very much not as if the normal characters really scale to them; they very easily one-shot Opal, Lapis and a bunch of the other Gems when they were mad enough.
B) Each diamond should scale to 1/3rd of this beam's attack potency. (I'll make a calc soon).
