Steve should probably get Purification type 3 via milk, which cures status effects from potions and enemies, mid-game key as it requires 3 iron ingots to get.

Also Light Manipulation via the glowing arrows, for the endgame key as it requires Glowstone which is only available in the nether

and Water Walking via Frost Walker because you can walk on water with it. Late-Game, once again
