It would be type 8 immortality via being alive as long as there are stars in the sky if it’s immortality.

I agree that this would be soul resistance, social influencing, and probably a telepathy thing since the Dutchman couldn’t even hear his own thoughts.

Btw as supporting evidence for the stars being magical within Spongebob, at 15:39 the stars form a constellation of Gary when Spongebob sings about him.

No, he can, what I meant is that he has to endure the pain of being crushed in every episode, so the pain tolerance makes sense as all his organs and skeleton are getting crushed and Plankton is still though say it!" he doesn't faint from pain or anything like that

It's not really a resistance to the soul, because in this case the Dutch took his physical body to Dave Jones' closet, but in the case if some soul collector tried to take his soul, he would end up giving up due to social influence.
About telepathy perhaps, since the Dutchman in this episode showed improved senses and clairvoyance, he even stated that he took the souls of all the bad people from the bottom of the sea when they died, as well as hearing Mr Krabs' pleas, but he couldn't because to SpongeBob.

That’s a better way to put it, I was kinda just summarizing. And yes, I agree with immortality type 8 as the cosmology in Spongebob has always shown to be magical and it’s supported by Frenchie who watches the events in the Spongebob 99% of the time.

Around the 15:39 mark. Right after Mr. Krabs sings, Spongebob sings about Gary and Gary appears as a constellation in the sky. This should be supporting evidence for the stars being magical and the narrator actually meaning it.

One thing I found, Potty and Patchy were arguing in the past, while they were doing it SpongeBob in the present was shaking because according to the same "I have a strange feeling that somewhere a pirate and a parrot are arguing about me and the parrot is winning".

On the resistance to memory manipulation it also falls as resistance to the manipulation of the mind, as you would need to control these mini versions of SpongeBob to control it, as they have a non-existent physiology and incorporate the abstract concept of thinking
And talking to the Dutchman is not really a resistance, in this case I believe it would be a kind of denial, because the flying Dutchman knows who is bad or not at the bottom of the sea and can hear and see what people have done several meters from distance, but he couldn't hear Mr krabs because SpongeBob was talking to him, making "he doesn't even hear your thoughts"
But he would still have a resistance to telepathy and mental possession with it (Basically his thoughts scared the flying Dutchman and Plankton, being cited by the two as being "awful" and this first one is literally a pirate who collects souls.)

and also in that episode where SpongeBob and Patrick invade dreams, they can destroy the dream balloons and by doing that the characters who had the dream destroyed wake up, if something bad happens in the dream it possibly happens in a similar way in reality (like the Clam squid choking on a pillow (this only happened because he choked on a burger in the dream) and if SpongeBob and Patrick are in the shattered dream balloon they will be teleported to the dreamer's side.
and I also think that what happened in the episode shouldn't be astral projection, but in this case he really made your thoughts come true.

The only difference is that all of the mini Patricks have are dressed like scientist, but they're stuck inside the Department of Thoughts/the Brain which is on fire giving the real Patrick trouble thinking. Kinda impressive that his head smoking & he doens't even notice it. Later he had a hole in the back of the head exposing his brain because he got burned out of idea, never complaining about the pain. Patrick changing the Chum Buckets' name made people go there despite the horrible food(either Social Influence or it's just most the folks in Bikini Bottom are stupid)

The funny thing is that both characters resist all of his hax lol. They might have a hard time getting past Cthulhu’s regen and immortality but there’s no way he can get past Spongebob and Patrick’s regen and immortality (especially if Sponge boy gets that type 8 immortality) so it would either be incon or win for the duo if they find a way to use their reality warping, transmutation, etc. on him effectively.

I’ll be sure to add that to Patrick’s stuff and yeah, Spongebob’s planetary-solar system level feats are not as outlandish if you think about it however the time Spongebob got a constellation is part of type 8 immortality. Spongebob has turned Gary into a constellation, made the sun come alive, turned into the moon, and Patrick has low 5-B environmental destruction. So a little bit of consistent tier 5 and 4 feats however we’d have to find a lot more to make it consistent lmao. But Spongebob is becoming quite the powerhouse. If Spongebob immortality type 8 gets accepted, even if he’s still tier 9 and 8, there’s a bunch of even tier 5s that 4s that would have a hard time beating him for immortality alone. God, what if Spongebob becomes the new Chowder of the wiki lmao?
