Spider-Man General Discussion

To quote my fellow Calcer KLOL

"if the beam is stated to have a constant speed, possibly. But I'd still be extra-vigilant."
Hmmmmmmm, can I see the feat? Are Mandarin's lasers real light?

Do note that dodging beams that have concrete speeds would not be calc-stacking. Like, calculating speed from dodging actual bullets isn't calc-stacking.

Hmmmmmm, are Mandarin's lasers stated or implied in any way to be punched out at full power here?

At best it's just Iron Man matching Mandarin's beam with his own and it's natural powerscaling from there on out.
i don't think so? Although it would make sense for him to use stronger beams considering he's getting rushed by Iron Man

Boi I have no idea what's being discussed here but uh...

Official SM NWH account confirms the old films being used, no variants bullshit.

So this makes what, four official sources now?

Alfred Molina confirms his Doc Ock being the exact same one who was about to die in SM2. The official Marvel site confirms Tobey and Andrew to be the same Spidey-Men from the old films just swinging straight into the MCU, the script confirms them to be straight up Raimi-verse and Webb-verse Spideys (None of the bullshit that says Variant of Original Raimi Spidey or Variant of Original Webb Spidey), and now the twitter link. This should make people think twice before arguing for them being variants conicidentally sharing the same story

Because if they are variants of the old Spidey movies who coincidentally share the same backstory (Which by default would make them have the same exact ******* feats as in the old movies and wouldn't imply them being much swifter either), then the Eddie appearing in the movie is also a variant of the actual Sony Venom Movie, which makes no ******* sense given the events of VENOM: Let there Be Carnage where it's the exact same Venom being hurled into the MCU and NWH showing Venom being hurled back to his own universe.

actually there is no evidence of that being Sony's Venom
we may have just seen a totally identical Venom get sent to the MCU

BTW, about the Pumpkin bomb calc

Actual body water mass percentage is 65%, this would ever so slightly bump up the results, but not by a lot (And it's only for our boi Eddie). Sorry bois, very teeny weeny upgrade here.

The raimiverse getting upgraded to MHS+ is what really surprised me tho

Final calcs for season 1, i'll be moving on to season 2 soon
Iron Man never reacts to the Sub-Magma Robots lasers or takes a hit from them so they don't scale to him, although perhaps it could scale to other M.O.D.O.K inventions since he's the guy who made it

but my point was more that GPE is very casual as it's the energy a character has by just being large, so Ultimo's casual attacks should be somewhat comparable to him GPE
I'm not entirely sure but It's a fair justification. So long as the swat isn't casual, someone's punch can definitely produce more force and energy than that someone does just standing in place under normal gravity.

Mmm, old marvel shows general discussion thread /s
I'd be up for it but I'm not sure how many would be lol

There are so many unique characters in those shows (Video-Man probably chief among them), it'd be nice to give them pages.

It's weird how Blizzards powers keep getting bullshitier as the series goes on
Being a B-Tier villain (albeit a pretty cool one, no pun intended), they probably didn't care too much about him and decided to be a little more of whatever fit the situation with his powers.

I would also be up for it

Probably (and he is indeed a very cool villain)

What would Iron Man's LS rating be like?
Personally i'd go with "At least Class K, possibly Class M"
Since the Class K feat did seem to take some effort and the Class M one is already a possibly rating for AP

Besides that would Blizzard making a lightning cloud warrant Massively Hypersonic+ attack speed?, he didn't attack anyone with it but was intending to
Also Blizzard creating lightning actually makes sense when you consider that ice crystals inside of clouds hitting against each other are a major factor in creating lightning

Bah, who gives a damn... That show doesn't need any more reasons for people to understand it sucks.

There was one episode i remember about Doctor Connors' lizard issue becoming more like a disease that started to spread over to everyone in the shield helicarrier (he was there at the time)

To be fair from what I've heard, it's quality picked up near the end.
Honestly, it didn't. The tone was just all over the place and a show so jokey and cartoony could never be taken super seriously no matter how much it tried, because you're always going to think about the 4th wall breaks, the little shoulder demon and angel, the generally Looney Tunes-y shenanigans especially early on.

Besides, a show is meant to be consistent in quality, you start well, continue well and end well. Your quality stuff shouldn't be on the ass end of your product, that is asinine. There is no "to be fair" defense for Ultimate Spider-Man.

Yeah but what if I said it was fun.
