How do we handle these on this site? I've been seeing a lot of these recently being added, and it's not even fair. An example that was added that I've seen was an FTL vs an MFTL+. I've also seen a barely sub-rel against a FTL added. Should there be a rule against these? Or would it be best to just not add them at all.

I agree, some "speed stomps" are just mean and are obviously made just to get victories added to pages. Beerus vs Cloud of Darkness and Lilithmon vs Goku both come to mind..

No. I figured as much. Obviously if they have the same speed statistic it should be assumed to be an advantage but being several ratings above is rather unfair as you can have the same statistic and be blitzed.

I don't think a minor speed disadvantage is a big deal, but if it's astronomical, then it's a problem. (i.e. Massively Hypersonic vs Massively FTL).

Same as what Azzy said. So long as one character isn't too fast than his/her opponent, it could be alright to still ost the result anyways...

A minor, like FTL versus high rel+ would be fair. However, the ones we listed were many tiers of difference.

Creating a rule is excessive in my opinion. The users will just have to use their reasonings when making matches and the mods/admins will close them if necessary.

Well, this page already says that people should not create spite or stomp threads.

However, we could expand a bit to state "...whether by tier or speed level" afterwards, if you wish?

Overwhelming speed or overwhelming power, without anything to compensate, I suppose.

We should also factor in things like character, as some don't instantly blitz opponents, or if the opponent has hax that counters the speed gap.

How about: "...whether by tier or speed, unless an opponents' hax or the characteristics of the characters involved makes such irrelevant."?

I was wondering if hax could go in the same group because the argument for speed and hax are very similar

Example:Character A blitzed him to death before character B could react or Character A haxed him to death while character B couldn't react at all.

Threads with individuals absurdly hax and individuals absurdly...well...not, are automatically locked as stomped threads so yes, it should be in the same group.

Then I was wondering if you could add it to the spite/stomp page like speed was to make it a little more apperent to us newcomers because up until now I didn't know it was a rule
