Speed Question

Have a brief speed question that id like to ask for future references.

Now, lets say two characters in a battle or confrontation against each other are standing, floating, levitating, etc. across each other over a certain distance, in stationary positions.

To use a guide to show what I mean, Character 1 is at Point A and Character 2 is at Point B.

Then, Character 1 from Point A moves from their position, Point A, to travel to Point B to attack Character 2 in their position. Flying, Running, etc.

Would this be an instance where Character 1's traveling speed is incorporated since they would be moving from one point to another point?

That isn't travel speed, that would be combat speed

Combat Speed

The speed at which a character can fight.

Travel Speed

The speed at which a character or object can move by running, or through similar means that do not involve flight or teleportation.

Why would it be combat speed if both character's aren't attacking at the same time? Isn't travel speed (or flight speed if a better term for this) supposed to be going from one point to another point?

As already explained, Stands from Jojo do literally what you said in OP but that's not for their Travel Speed.

This honestly just depends on the distance point A and B is, if the distance is like 50m then it's just burst/combat speed but if it's 50km then it's travel speed

This example actually fits closely with what I was describing. Luffy travels / flies toward Doffy over a distance before then attacking him with in combat.

Him moving / flying in towards Doffy would only be short bursts?

Ah, so as long as the distance isn't so short like melee range, then moving across it would incorporate travel / flight?

Depends but what Luffy did would qualify as travel speed and when luffy started blitzing doffy would be combat speed/short bursts
Oh yeah, the blitzing part of what happened there definitely isn't what I meant. That I know for sure would be the short bursts / combat speeds.

What I wanted to know where travel / flight could be incorporated is if the character is just moving in towards the other character before the crazy blitzing/attacking starts.

For general rule, short burst are not the same as travel speed.
My bad, forgot to reply to this. If by short bursts, you mean the character blitzing and attacking, this I know isn't travel or flight.

I mean what I clarified above. The character moving in towards the other before the blitzing and attacking starts.
