Emerl is never stated to "Blow Up" the planet, only that he would destroy the planet. Our standard statements for destroying the planet with no elaborate context or on screen demonstration would be destroying all life on the planet unless it outright says they would explode the planet.

And Eggrobo does have the blow up the planet. Making the Earth, "Vanish without a trace" is still too vague. And says the extractor is going to eventually, explode and blow up the planet, not that it already has enough energy to do that. And there's no proof that Eggrobo absorbed all of it.
What Shadow said, Emerl was going to destroy the planet. Not jsut the world. Plus that was the only time throughout the entire game that Sonic became serious and went all-out to defeat him in under thiry seconds. If the sense of urgency from it was so great that Sonic had to defeat him in under half a minute, he must've been a legitimate threat.

Sorry, but the second paragraph is malarky (ha). Making the Earth vanish without a trace? That isn't just absorbing the life energy of a planet, that means the planet will literally not be there. Some feats don't need to be spelled out for us, sometimes they do require a small leap. Eggman's mech being "supercharged" is a very good indicator that, even if you want to say he didn't absorb all the energy, he absorbed a large quantity. Also, if you really want to argue that he didn't absorb enough for 5-B, that's the same boss that makes a 5-A pseudo-black hole. While that makes it all a little bit weirder, that alone makes the argument of Eggman needing to have absorbed more enegy to become 5-B kinda fall flat.

The 5-A Black hole calc was rejected but Executor who clearly said it has 0 indication of a black hole, and many others agreed that it wasn't legit. Eggrobo still wasn't powered by the entire Extractor; the same thing that will eventually be 5-B. Plenty of characters were stated to absorb massive amounts of energy from the Sun but are much weaker than 4-C. With an even bigger gap than Eggrobo no less.

Destroying a large part of the Ark isn't really that impressive. Also, I thought it was said above by the people arguing for the upgrade that the Chaos Emeralds only unlocked data in his power and that he never actually absorbed any Chaos power. Anyway, in the actual game, his method of destroying the planet is the Final Egg Blaster rather than his own power. Meaning there's no direct Tier 5 feat to speak of. Gerald's statement is still not quite specific at all and if he said it 50 years ago; there's still no proof of him blowing up the entire planet. Gerald simply says destroy the world, which could normally just mean all life on the planet. Shinobu Sensui was also stated to be capable of destroying the entire planet, but he's not 5-B. Or same with Genkai saying Yusuke could destroy a planet, but that's not 5-B either.

It wasn't legit for scaling and for meeting the BH criteria. And I said pseudo-black hole, not a real one. It obviously doesn't display the qualities of a real BH.

>And it restores the Emeralds by channeling the energy absorbed by Dark Gaia back to the Chaos Emeralds, while also breaking the seal containing Dark Gaia.

The Emeralds being restored by an outside source doesn't change that they were the singular objects to be directly stated to do the feat in the end with their own contained energy seven times in a row.

>Dark Gaia was enhanced by the depleted Emeralds channeled by Eggman to perform his 5-A feat.

Dark Gaia never absorbed anything from the Emeralds.

Also, Eggman was the one who did the whole "expose the molten core" with the laser. Dark Gaia did nothing but emerge and gets nothing of scaling from the laser directly. He scales to breaking the planet apart in his final form via his past history which only going by that isn't even fully planet level. He's indirectly scaled back to Super Sonic who scales to the laser and other Earth busting stuff himself.

Keep in mind the difference between baseline 5-B and peak High 6-A is 2,008x. So DDM claiming the Eggrobo absorbed a High 6-A amount of energy would mean that it absorbed just a few thousandths of the total energy.

Unless you want to say Gerald was lying about Emerl's capabilities, which would make no sense for him to do when he spent time researching it, then yes, Emerl is 5-B.

Bad analogy. His profile only states he can destroy a country.
