We hope to modify Sonic's character files from Low 1-C to 1-C.
(After modifying the Tiering system, it has now become 6-D is 1-C)

If you want to do it yourself then that's fine. Knowledgeable members handling it is preferable to a bot.
Just a question, would this sorta request be better if I take it to the All-Purpose Request Thread or would you be willing to unlock a given list of characters for edits if given time?

Also, to you others, who would be willing to perform some edits aside from LukeChaos?

Sonic Question Time: Delving into the more powerscaling side of things, what Tier would YOU personally place the cast at within the Classic, Adventure, and Modern Eras? Don't bother with canon feats, just throw out what sounds cool to you. Bonus points for what Tier you'd want Supers to be at as well.

Personally; I'd like Classic at 5-C, Adventure at 5-B until the FEB/Emerl's 4-A stint, then Modern at 3-C. Let's get wacky, I'd like Supers at 2-A with a possible Low 1-C rating just so we aren't stuck in dimensional tiering hell 24/7.

ok thanks pc I wasmuust jokering about sharing the link

I'm gonna be real, not hating on Godzilla, but I think anything would work better than him for a crossover. How would you really do a Godzilla crossover without it being similar to that DC thing that happened a year or two ago? Can IDW Godzilla even talk? Wouldn't he just be going around destroying stuff until Sonic comes in, manages to calm him down or whatever and they fight Eggman or whoever as the "real" threat behind everything?

Would just be more fun and exciting if we got to see a lot of character interactions with SF characters, rather than just Godzilla roaring for a few issues

I would have them gradually grow from 6-C to High 6-A from the Classic to Adventure Era. Then from 5-C to 4-C in the modern era.

In terms of feats, the cast would always be below light speed in the Classic era, except for Sonic, who could achieve it barely by pushing himself hard enough. In the Adventure era, everyone can reach light speed, but they only upscale from it by a large extent by the time of the modern era.

As you can see, I would make the base cast a lot weaker than they are if it was up to me, but for Super forms, it's another story.

Classic Super Sonic would be able to tap into power as high as Low 2-C, and speed as high as infinite.

Adventure would peak at 2-A, and immeasurable speed.

Modern Super Sonic could tap into the real maximum power of the emeralds, being 1-A and irrelevant speed.

Tempted to say this is Kino.

DC moment lol.

Interesting takes though. That reminds me, in a few weeks I'll probably DM you about that Pre-Sonic 2 key for Classic. Just have a few things to sort out first.

My opinion.

Classic: 8-A/HS at the beginning, 6-C/MHS the end of the era.

Adventure: 6-C+/MHS+ at the beginning, 5-B/sub-rel at the end of the era.

Modern: 5-B+/sub-rel+ at the beginning, 4-A/FTL at the end of the era.

Super forms: varies up L2-C/FTL+ normally, 2-A/MFTL+ at full power and L1-C/Infinite speed without limiters (including Hyper forms).

Immeasurable speed is immeasurably trash!

This is a joke right?

Classic: 5-A
Adventure: 4-A to Low 2-C
Modern: 2-C
Super and Hyper Forms: 1-C Complex Multiversal (6D) to High 1-A High Outerversal without limiters and using the full extent of the Emeralds/other sources of power.

I can ask that on the thread if that's good with everyone else

I wanted to give this matchup a try. It's surprisingly interesting despite the big AP gap and lack of hax on both sides.

Sonic Question Time: If you could remove one character and their history from the franchise (be it an underutilized character, a forgotten one, your least favorite, etc.), which character would you pick to remove from the series?

Honestly, I dislike Dr. Eggman Nega. He is a literal nothingburger of a character, just a more homicidal and boring version. He'd be better in a comic setting than Eggman in terms of stakes, as his preference is destroying everything rather than losing, but that's about the only positive I can think. And even then Nega would be far less entertaining doing it.

Vanilla.

Cream has been show that she doesn't need her, none of the characters ever needed parents because they're all quite capable on their own and she doesn't really add anything.

Honestly she indirectly annoys me because she makes people go "were are the parents of these other characters then?" and it annoys me because it feels that it downplays and infantillises all the other characters despite being self sufficient

I think I would agree. His continuity, personality, methods and abilities are so confusing and/or shallow that, like, he could not exist, and I feel you really lose nothing from every game he is in. Like, if they legit just had him be William Afton and stuff dead bodies into mechanical suits, he would at least stand out from Dr. Eggman. But no, he's just Mike Pollock of all people with a higher-pitch voice.

Classic, Adventure and Modern are all on the same tier due to how there is too many instances of old characters coming back and be on par with modern cast, most notorious cases are with Classic Sonic taking on Egg Dragoon, and Mecha Knuckles and Mecha Sonic coming back with no way of getting stronger on this mud of an island and be a threat to modern cast

I already said that I think Mighty and Ray could just dissapear and I wouldn't care, but after giving it more thought, not only do I still believe that, but I'm much more frustrated at the missed opportunities. You see, they COULD have easily found a way to give these characters an actual story purpose and an interesting relationship with the main cast, all while fixing an incredibly common and unadressed plot hole:

Who guards the Master Emerald when Knuckles is outside Angel Island on some adventure? It's his responsabillity as the last echidna to guard it, and yet, in so many games, he doesn't. Mighty and Ray could have been the ones to guard it, and it would make sense for Knuckles to trust at least Mighty with that responsabillity since they're both OG members of team Chaotix. You could have even had a story that takes place between SA2 and Heroes where Knuckles finally learns to trust the right people, and that he doesn't have to carry this enormous resposabillity by himself because he deserves to live his own life as well.

You know it's bad when even somebody like Ian Flynn struggles to find some use for you...

This is going to get me a lot of shit for saying, but in all honesty? I would get rid of Enerjak.

While I do personally like Enerjak and consider him to be a genuinely good villain for the Archie comics, I personally feel like the likes of Scourge and Mammoth Mogul are better at being the type of villains that are personal to Sonic and the rest of the gang while the latter could still fulfill the cosmically powerful villain that Enerjak.

Now would this ruin some of the lore of the Echidnas and some of Knuckles' development? Most likely, but you could rework Mammoth Mogul into having a closer history with the Echidna Tribe in a world without Enerjak.

Infinite no questions asked, like I'm not gonna repeat the dead "wasted potential" argument instead let me list how inconsequential he was:

*Shadow literally killed all his crew and nobody either knows about it or calls Shadow out about it, naturally Shadow doesn't care regardless.

*He caused so many war crimes and nearly nuked the planet yet he's pretty much been forgotten by everyone and the world pretty much recovered quickly from a "global war" (partly due to Sega forcing literal paper thin world building in IDW that bans certain concepts or characters getting brought up and shown e.g: human NPCs).

*You could removed him from the story of Forces and alter the narrative to replace him with Neo Metal Sonic and the end result would still be same, the final villain is still a Eggman mech, only Eggman gets to use the REAL Phantom Ruby and the world moves on despite the "massive loss of life".

*In IDW the Diamond Cutters pretty much replaced the Jackal Squad as "the mercenaries" while actually getting an expanded backstory outside just "being weak Shadow fodder" (yes yes ironic considering how they die) while getting a successor team with Lanolin, Whisper and Tangle as well as a reoccurring villain with Mimic.

Overall IDW and recent core Sonic games already barely acknowledge Infinite despite that infamous quote of being the "strongest Sonic villain" yet, so might as well delete him at this point and make Shade canon again.

Amy and Silver. Those two characters drive me up a wall on a personal level and in my opinion, if they were removed altogether, would not bat an eye and would be happy overall. I'd rather have more focus on Blaze and Rouge instead.
