Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Not Generations. Just Forces.
Are you 100% sure? Because not only is the key named “Modern era appearances” (implying Generations), but the Immeasurable rating is only on that key and not his normal base key, any of Adventure Sonic’s base keys or Modern Sonic’s first two keys. If you’re right then someone (I can probs do it) should make a thread to both fix the speed ratings and rename Classic’s second key.

Yes, I am sure. Classic Sonic's immeasurable rating comes from White Space, why would other Sonics have it?
Post-Imprisonment Sonic has it, and any post-Gens keys should have it even if those Sonics never went to White Space as they would be able to replicate the same feat.

Regardless though my main point is that Modern era Classic Sonic has the rating while regular Classic Sonic doesn’t, meaning as far as the profiles are concerned Gens Classic Sonic counts as Modern era Classic Sonic. If that really is wrong then it needs to be changed.

Yes, it is wrong. I don't even remember the thread this was accepted, unless someone can link it. Generations Sonic shouldn't scale to modern folks.

Oooohhh. It was another one of Omega's big CRTs were he adds a bunch of stuff, to the point the minor details are overlooked. Yeah, that should be changed.

So you want to revert back to something like this, with the addition of Forces having its own key (due to either him being from another at the time or some phantom ruby *** idk)

I just finished playing Shadow Generations. I would like to add some keys for Shadow Generations to the pages for Shadow, Mephiles, and Black Doom. For Shadow, I would want to add a key for his Doom Powers(Referred to as "Doom Shadow" in this posts. For Mephiles and Devil Doom, they need keys for the versions that fight Shadow in this game. Doom Shadow would be 2-C at the beginning of the game. However, it seems obvious to me that Mid to Late game Doom Shadow, Mephiles, and Devil Doom need 1-C keys. My reasoning is as follows: The second boss in Shadow Generations is Metal Overlord, a being who is listed as 1-C for scaling to peak Adventure Super Forms(Shadow's Doom Powers grow more and more powerful throughout the game, so there is no evidence that Early Game Doom Shadow scales to this.) Mephiles provides a challenge to a version of Shadow that has grown more powerful than that. Some may argue that Shadow losing to Sonic after defeating Mephiles invalidates this, but Shadow is deliberately mentioned to have not used his new powers in that fight to even the playing field. Devil Doom challenges a version of Shadow who has defeated Mephiles, and grown more powerful. As well, it is mentioned that as Shadow grows more powerful, so does Black Doom. The final piece of evidence for a 1-C key for Doom Shadow and Devil Doom is Doom Wing. Doom Wing functions identically to a modified Super Form(Gives invulnerability to damage, slowly eats your rings, allows flight or gliding), and the Super Forms in this game are 1-C due to fighting the Time Eater.

I am posting this here, not in a CRT, under the advice of Antvasima, and because the CRTs are already done for the characters they are being scaled to. I would like to see some knowledgeable members weigh in on this. I also don't think any of this applies outside Shadow Generations, as Shadow loses his doom powers when he defeats Devil Doom.

My Source:

My depression is immeasurable and my day has been ruined. I wanted the return of my Metal Messiah. Instead I get the Time Traveling Toddler…(Exaggerated for comedic effect, but still!)

There's ongoing CRTs discussing Shadow Gens tiering here (Most of the Shadow Gens cast) and here (Metal Overlord specifically), if you'd like to discuss your thoughts there
Unless the Metal Overlord tiering CRT changes things considerably, CRTs don't seem necessary for my idea(Adding keys to their page). We are literally just scaling Shadow's Doom Powers, Mephiles, and Devil Doom to a preexisting character whom the narrative has already agreed they are stronger than.

CRTs would still be necessary for that, especially since this is quite the popular verse

Honestly, I dislike the CRT system, and find them horribly overused and inconsistent. Wikis are supposed to be a collaborative thing, yet you can't even scale a character to a character the narrative literally says they are stronger than without diving through a mess of messages(Sometimes hundreds of pages long) on a completely different website and then getting a bunch of bureaucrats to approve it. Seriously, adding a "Possibly Higher" to a page should not be treated with the same weight as upgrading a continent level character to galaxy level. Also, Antvasima literally told me that all I needed to do for my current idea was get the opinions of a few knowledgeable users on the changes, not dive through CRTs.

Sorry about the off-topic rant. I'm really tired right now, and the content revision rules of this wiki have frustrated me for a while. Also, I did participate in the threads you told me to, because at least they were mercifully short compared to many CRTs.

Not sure. I had an idea they could bring back Metal Sonic 3.0, but that idea was basically just a way to make Shard canon, so I'm probably not the guy to ask...
I think focusing on Silver's future specifically and expanding upon it aside from "future" would be cool. Like introducing new villains he fights on a daily basis and teammates he possibly has there/introducing new characters mayhaps.

I don't think we're getting another "Year of" at least not for Silver

If anything, it would make way more sense for Metal Sonic

Yeah, from Nakamura's comment, it seems they plan for each year to have its own "Year of", even if the theme isn't necessarily for a single character. It wouldn't make sense to be focused on the movie when the movie isn't out until 2027, so whatever they'll do will be unrelated to the movie.

But, I can think of SEGA looking for a quick concept unrelated to not just the next Sonic movie, but maybe also the one after it (2030 maybe?), so they might be thinking many years ahead of time to not have repeating years so soon.

Btw, what would even be the theme for a "Year of Metal Sonic"? "Unquestionable Servitude"? I would prefer a Year of Agent Stone tbh
