Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

This argument is only half valid, as kanji meanings can vary depending on context, which is fair I guess. However, I prefer to rely on the official translation, which defines the word as stars, cllaiming it also means "planet" isn’t a definitive debunk, that’s not how language or translations work. It’s worth noting that translation and localization are entirely different processes from how we battleboarders interpret terms(It's not as literal, and translators have more experience and nuanced view about the language more than powerscalers that often abuse that for the sake of upgrading/downgrading a verse they like/don't like its scaling, tho I won't deny that there are blatant translation errors in some games) translators often have access to the full context of the game and, in some cases, direct communication with the development team(Like Nintendo Tree house).
They are fairly consistent with the star piercing for the eclipse cannon, but Shadow ‘05 did at one point also call it planet-piercing, so it’s a little inconsistent but mostly leaning in one direction.

If that was the case then we check context? I don't think star-piercing would contradict the narrative no?

Probably not? 6 emeralds blew up half the moon, 7 Emeralds would either power the eclipse cannon to destroy planets or cause the ark to crash into the Earth and surface-wipe.

Funmy thought. Though if Sonic ever had Type 1 Immortality, it would disgrace Black Knight
CHAD Knight mentioned⚔️

Every Bowser vs Eggman debunk I've seen puts the Egg Dragoon at like 5D and immeasurable, basically higher than this wikia. It's all about the circles you live in.
No one out there gonna listen to this lmao

Base Sonic gets scaling from the Shatterverse, which is universal at worst and 6 universes at best

Does anyone know what Sonic's MFTL+ scaling would be if you ignore infinite speed?

I am talking about YouTube videos who the highest is at 80k views last I checked, so people DO listen to it.

I am honestly surprised by how high some put Game Sonic outside of this website.

I've seen those videos too, and they're met with a lot of resistance in the comments

I think they just don't like seeing people take every statement and running with it, which is fair

The point is that it doesn't matter. Just as we have people who hate high tier Sonic scaling (Death Battle and its fans), we also have people who rank it even higher than this website. So it really does depends on the circles you post in.

Is Sonic being faster than most of his friends can keep up with during Sonic Colors a justification for upscaling from his previous boost speed?

Without our sites multipliers 2.445 quadrillion c is the highest calc for base charecters.

With multipliers afew sextillion c but the triple boost is questionable so I don't buy it.

But Sonic has reacted to universe spanning events like Time Eater blasting the universe or the Paradox Prism remaking the universe in seconds would be triple digit quadrillions. You could also make calcs with the assumption that the Arabian Nights, Null Space and dreams in Maginaryworld are universe sized realms that would also get quad c for traveling through them.

So like I was going back to that video and it mentions Solaris essentially compressing multiple timelines and time points into one space to explain Solaris being at only one time point, and then I remembered a calc for Ultimecia’s time compression being like 10^100x Uni or smthn. So that may apply even with this lowballed interpretation.

Interesting, didn't think such a thing would be calculable

There isn't a set limit to how many rings you can get (to my knowledge), that number can go up however you like, to quintillions, decillions, any finite amount (unless Roblox itself has a limit to how high a number can go)

Ok so just off of using the boost multiplier and Infinite upscaling without considering the Double Boost and Triple Boost, Sonic MFTL+ is in the hundreds of quadrillions

The best base Mario MFTL+ speed feat on this site that I just found by looking at the verse is 27 quadrillion c

So it's agreed that both the Mario and Sonic franchises are in the quadrillion range, but Sonic is faster due to insane multipliers

That Paradox Prism feat hasn't even been calced

Ya I assume that calc dosent use cinematic timing. If cinematic timing was used for dodanpa it would be 150 quad c I'm pretty sure so using cinematic timing is a huge buff.

In regard to all the universal spanning speed feats, would our currently accepted size for Sonic's universe affect them?
