Yeah. The only times it gets annoying is when Shadow glazers try and say that Shadow is just objectively stronger than Sonic cuz he can just take off the rings. Like, sure he could be stronger but at the cause of burning himself out to a crisp? I'm a huge Shadow fan and love the character, but I also recognize that it's just not in character and would **** him if he isn't careful. Not that it matters anyway since Sonic and Shadow are stated to be equals regardless, so they 50/50 realistically.
Honestly, I would have liked to see Shadow take off his rings against Devil Doom in Shadow Gens. Would have went raw to see that again.

Shadow did use Chaos Boost to bypass the stonewall durability in the fight.
Either way, Shadow actually has backing for how much power he COULD have and it makes sense, honestly. I enjoy that about Shadow. So long as he isn't wanked to high heaven. I rep my goat, but I won't say he's way stronger than everyone else ever. In practice, he's surprisingly rather balanced.

The fact that Shadow had to use Chaos Boost for that prior just makes his showing without inhibitor rings against Mephiles with 3 Chaos Emeralds all the more better

It is funny. Best part is, we only saw him with TWO of them off. He still has two more on his ankles. I always imagined that Uninhibited Shadow is like half of a Super Form, especially due to the golden aura. Just imagine if he took all of them off, he pulls a UK Comic Sonic and goes Super without the Emeralds. Probably with some catch or two, of course. Puts respect on the title "Ultimate Lifeform", for real. Just a fun idea.

Just saying that if there’s no explanation, and Orbot and Cubot believed it was a dimension travel machine, it’s possible Eggman could modify it with the spare parts in white space, so maybe his dimension travel on his profile could reflect that.

I'm fairly certain that was him just putting it to use. Earlier on in 06, we see Mephiles show Silver and Blaze a vision of the past using the purple Chaos Emerald

Hate to interrupt but I have another question. I showed up here around when Sonic got its groove back so that in mind I must ask. How is the thread during periods where there isn't much going on for Sonic because I have a hunch things are going to slow down during 2025 after the feast this year.

Yeah but it’s far less realistic for Eggman to just, break out, compared to finding an already open exit or inventing one.

I love the image of canon Eggman saying "a lesser man would die here, I'll be home by Christmas" before building some kind of device to leave a dimension that should be impossible to break out of. That goes for null space too and frankly I love movie references so this is my head canon now.

Probably for the best, there is zero chance Gens Mephiles would ever be accepted as tier 1 and he could fight both Shadow with Doom Powers and without.

Confused as to why he was 1-C in the first place considering Adventure Era characters are typically Low-Multiversal max on VSB anyway.
However, could also be an argument to be made to somehow upgrade other Adventure Era final bosses to 1-C, which would technically retroactively scale the verse upwards as well, but that'd be a real beeyotch to do and people would prolly not be on board with that. I wouldn't mind it because it'd be cool, but I can understand why people wouldn't want it.

It’s because super form power levels are accepted based on emotional empowerment as opposed to time growth, and Overlord had a lot of conditions that made him scaling to the highest empowerment level make sense.

I mean, so did Perfect Chaos technically. He was literally out for revenge against the Echidnas for their immense abuse of their power and wars and used the negative power of the emeralds to turn into Perfect Chaos. In fact, Perfect Chaos has far more reasoning for the emotional empowerment bit via a history that runs deep and tragic. Shouldn't this also make Perfect Chaos 1-C?

Ayo, 1-C Base Sonic Verse is gonna go sicknasty. That'd ABSOLUTELY chain upscale everything in the verse, perhaps.
Although, I still think Low 1-C Sonic Verse should've already happened from Sonic Shuffle since it's not labeled as an outlier anymore on Void's wiki page, but people are a little iffy about that game. Even if it IS canon and is often USED for upscaling the Sonic Verse on VSB.

First 2-C feat happens in I believe rush or sonic Advanced before adventure 1 and 2, super sonic gets better feats later, base fights Overlord and chaos- so they get the 2-C from that time, dosen't that work?
