Flying enemies is no hassle for Showa Godzilla

While no actual size is given for Smaug. I 'HIGHLY' doubt Smaug is in the Showa Era 20,000 tonnage range or more as the rest of Godzilla's Rogue Gallery. Melee combat is in Godzilla favor in my opinion! For anyone who has seen Showa Era Godzilla movies by the end of his career with the Mecha-Godzilla movies and Zone-Fighter Series. Godzilla has become a Golden Gloves Boxer!!! GG Smaug!

Goji's resistance to Heat Manipulation is gonna give him the edge as well to Smaug's Flames

And while being covered in molten gold is a "great" durability feat; radiation manipulation may play a terrible part in Smaug's downfall!

Godzilla is bigger and stronger, and he certainly has more than enough experience to mandhandle the likes of Smaug. Smaug also lacks any ability that could be life-threatening to Godzilla, and he just doesn't compare in CQC. Godzilla should take this for sure.
