True, but keep in mind that Kidd required help from Law and Luffy in order to actually damage Big Mom and Kaido. If Kid had fought Big Mom by himself, he wouldn't have stood a chance. And he only defeated Big Mom because of his Devil Fruit, not because of his advanced Haki usage.

It's clear that Kidd just couldn't hang with the Emperors and even with major assistance from Law he only won against BM via BFR.
Not to mention BM wasn't even using Advanced Haki on him while it seems that Shanks was.
It makes sense that Shanks one shot him.
So I wouldn't use that to put Shanks over Kaidou, for now I have Kaidou either over him by a slight but noticeable margin or relative.

Even in that novel, ace could only barely scratch him with full power after 100 duels of getting low diffed... And it was also stated whitebeard was holding back

Shanks has several statements implying he fought Kaido before Marineford including the one above, even during Marineford he didn’t even mention Kaido at all nor did he seem relatively fatigued after fighting him. Also like someone else said, he one-shot Kidd who Big Mom, someone who is relative to Kaido, wasn’t capable of doing, Kidd was even capable of getting up and fighting her even after Big Mom casually mid-diffed both him and Law the first time (chapter 1038).
