Hmm, well I'd assume that Frank would be fairly more skilled and fairly more experienced than the player here, as well as more variety (I'm assuming the player has optional equipment or an I completely wrong?)

Yeah Frank takes this due to greater intelligence, experience, skill, and general versatility/know how. The Player doesn't have a lot going for him besides AP and a way to incon by just blowing up the ******* earth but I doubt that's in character.

It's sorta in character. That's actually an ending canonical due to him being psychotic in a few endings. However, it's not something he would open with every time or a lot. He did seem to start to kill first, so frank should have at least a bit of time before he resorts to it. He probably would resort to it the moment he sees he is going to die, or is scared enough. He likely opens with a gun

If he opens with a gun he just sorta becomes a person Frank deals with on the regular, just a bit stronger than the normal goon. Even if he were to sue the detonation the most he can get is incon, but if he opens with a gun more often than not then yeah, Frank takes it
