SCP-173 Speed

I'm not very into SCPs, but looking at 173's page I noticed that its speed is rated as "Subsonic (Can move faster than the human eye can perceive)". This already sounded a little weird to me considering its whole deal is that you won't and can't see it move because it only moves when you blink. Looking in the link for its attack speed, the same page states the following:

My review of provided footage, in addition to confirming an average speed of 20 to 22 meters per second while unobserved, also strongly suggests that subject SCP-173 does not make physical contact with its victims.

Shouldn't 173's speed then be "SuperHuman", or "At least SuperHuman"?

There's a calc that puts 173 at Mach 64 and another that puts it at Mach 4408 (Which still needs to be sorted out which is more accurate) so no, it's far above superhuman.

Those calcs appear come from the same short story (the second is also wrong since it assumes that 173 killed all humans on the planet, the story only says that "something went wrong with the Foundation...maybe, and humanity was wiped out"). The short story completely contradicts the numbers given in the other one. Are there any other feats that put SCP-173 at anywhere close those levels of speed?

The part about it killing every human is incorrect but the part about it covering the whole world is accurate. And no because this is the only time 173 has ever had the chance to actually showcase its speed when uninhibited by the threat of being seen by someone and being forced to stop.

Honestly IMO it looks like an outlier, but I guess it should be upgraded using the first calc of crossing continents in minutes.

me personally, i think the 22m/s is the speed he uses for his "game" when he kills people, but is capable of reaching much faster speeds. as stated, the entire neck snapping thing is all a game to scp 173. he was also capable of dodging scp 096's attacks, and 096 is proven to be VERY FAST. with him being fast enough to reach you, no matter where you go. except even SCP 173 was too fast for him. and seeing as the fight went on for over 5 hours, it would mean hes able to keep it up for a long time too.

btw the fight was just scp 096 attempting to attack 173 and 173 dodging and repeatedly snapping 096's neck over and over.

173 has 2 speed feats in its page. One is Mach 33.89 and the other was accepted at Mach 38, which seems consistent when compared to each other IMO.

yeah im pretty sure 173's speed is basically "faster than you". just how 682 doesnt get destroyed, and how 096 always reaches you.
