Sasuke Uchiha vs Uryu Ishida - who is better-written character?

sasuke is much more developped , i just came to dislike his story because of how much times they had to repeat it "sad past , revenge, friendship but not really , clan decimated" yada yada we get it already ! no need to flash back to it every two episode

uruy have pretty much the same themes but less developped once he had his key confrontation with ichigo/mayuri . it did became a strengh in my book tho as i didn't came to dislike him . i do wish we had better interaction with him and yhwach tho .

in the end i'll go with uryu just because sasuke's story ended getting on my nerves with how much focus and back and forth it had .

Sasuke is a much more fleshed out character imo. He'd actually undergone significant character developments throughout the series. And, apart from his 'destroy konoha' moments, all of his hatred and negativity are very plausible and understandable. His motivations are well-accounted for, and his personality and characterizations are on-point in more ways than one. He isn't just some one-dimensional character who just happens to exist solely for being the protagonist's rival.

His over-all existence in the story played out to be the ultimate driving force for the protag to be strong. And his relationships whether it be familial or friendship, is natural and actually seem very real.

In any case, I pick Sasuke for the reasons above.

@John You should read Sasuke Jinraiden. I thought I knew everything about Sasuke but that novel definitely makes him one of the top 2 best charactersƒöуöуöÑ Sasuke was shown like never before in that novel only about him. It like no else existed in the series but him. Really felt like Sasuke was in his own story as his own MC.

Sasuke Jinraiden, huh. Noted. I'll take a look at it.

Yeah it explains how Sasuke changed after the Itachi fight and before the Killer Bee fight. It explains how he got his MS and tie abilities. I'm not gonna spoil it tho but that novel is damn near perfect

I think I've heard of it. Is this the one where Sasuke found a kid and decided to train him, or something along those lines?

Naw there is a kid in this one but he didn't really train him. I think that's from one of the Blank Period novels
