Sans' KR and Durability Negation mechanics

Yeah but then we don't have any concrete proof of damaging varying unless we treat as canon hidden and unused gameplay mechanics. Even if we do use them, Sams can still hurt & damage Chara.
 
Unfortunately, Sans is a mysterious character with a lot if his background not fully shown. However, we have A LOT of evidence , quotes from the game and in battle text HEAVILY suggesting this is how Sans' powers work, and nothing has come up to contradict it.

Hidden mechanics and unused gameplay is what UT is about, I mean look at Gaster. Before the patch, you need to change the FUN value in the game's codes to encounter him and another thing I forgot how to do in order to get Lab Entry No. 17 in the True Lab, all of these hidden in the game's codes and not found on regular playthroughs.
 
Again, I'm a broken record and I'm sorry for that, but I still strongly disagree with removing KR in Sans' abilites. Adding 9-B tierring without hax and MHS+, likely far higher speed I'm okay with though.
 
An unused mechanic + name of a technique isn't "a LOT" evidence. The reasons why we accept Gaster stuff is because that's the whole point of his character.

I wasn't arguing, like ever, for High-3-A Sans though?
 
Uh, not just that. Look up back in my comments, Sans keeps judging you in each playthrough for "every action" you made, and it changes depending on how much LV you have, not to mention AGAIN, the battle text which REPEATEDLY states that KARMA and SINS are the cause of your pain. IDK how you ignore this over and over.

And Sans character isn't the same way?

I said that because this would assume Sans damages Chara normally like everyone else (which he doesn't), which means they should scale to Sans, which is incorrect.
 
KARMA is just the name of the KR effect, hence why it's in caps. Even if it's sin related, it doesn't hint toward varying damage, nor how much it varies.

Dude it would just be durability negation, why do you assume we are going to scale 2-B to Sans all of sudden?
 
Sans doesn't damage Chara normally, though. He ignores invincibility frames, which would be ignoring the soul's durability in context with how all Monsters attack the soul. KARMA, being the poison applied after each hit, is the cause of your pain at the moment the text pops up, as he's no longer hitting you with normal attacks when it appears.
 
Again, in game battle text and the fact Sans "judges" you and knows about LOVE and EXP. Still don't see why you ignore that.

So, have the changes been carried out?
 
Having said that, it might be best to apply the changes to the physical stats now, since everyone agrees with them, and then argue KR after, since this thread seems to have a tendency to just stop for extended periods of time, as shown by it being 7 days since the last comment.

I agree with Derp in that perhaps the physical stats can be put in at least for now and just talk about the KR thing later.
 
I asked him if he could apply the changes on his wall yesterday, though I don't know if he saw the message since the page hasn't been changed.

I mean, maybe? It's a horrendous lowball, though. A MHS+ character can't even hit Sans when he's literally asleep, and Chara has to break the rules of the game to actually land a killing blow.
 
The problem with that reasoning is that while he is faster, we don't know how much faster he is. Not stating a minimum for his speed could also make people assume he's either much faster than he is or much slower than he is.

Perhaps you can list it as "Unknow, at least Massively Hypersonic+"? I've seen things worded like that on some profiles that I assume are trying to imply that they're much faster than the listed stat to an unknown extent.
 
I say leave the speed at "Unknown"; heck, the nature of so many of Sans's abilities is so mysterious and unconventional that it is likely incapable of being applicable to any conventional methods of ascertaining the traits of a character's abilities, much less stats. I mean, it works fine for the game, but it is just not feasible to quantify most of these things. We may need to consider banning Sans from matches...
