Because Goku's followthrough is the thing to trigger the bomb. He literally can't move out of the way quick enough, and has no way to expect it when he's literally hitting what he thinks is an unmoving sandbag. Not to mention that a ki blast would be kinda useless when the AoE and more bombs overtake him easily.

That doesn't mean much when he can only use it while weakened. Besides, that is literally what happened
That's what happened to Goku who wasn't in tip top shape. This is goku at 100% condition.

@Glass

That was my roundabout way of reminding you of your "getting tired from just one kamehameha " statement

I was questioning your logic on how a single kamehameha can wore him out when he's fired numerous of those attacks without tiring out.

You don't fire Kamehameha's at a sandbag. You have to remember that Goku's fighting a sandbag. A literal sandbag. H2H is the natural approach anyone would take.

But clearly, as you've said, he needs ki blasts to survive, it's not just from that

@Cal and you think that a sandbag that drops bombs won't let him think that shooting from afar is the better option?

@yobo He has used a lot of ki in numerous battles before. I never said that he needs ki to survive. I said that he doesn't get tired that easily.

Literally twice he's run out of Stamina from using it, and normal ki blasts won't do anymore good then a kamehameha

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, isn't the feat Sandbag scales from way higher than baseline, since it was done by just being born? While Goku is just somewhat above baseline?

this is a guy who's used kaioken numerous times without tiring out. His stamina is much more than you think since he can handle the pain and keep on fighting.

@Cal like I said, he can dodge the bombs via IT or flying away.

He's completely unprepared for anything like the bombs to come. For all he knows, he's just slugging away at a sandbag, and then boom.

@Cal he was also unprepared for a dankaku attack from Kefla, which all of the shots were going to oneshot him. Also you're telling me that a bomb detonating is faster than quadrillions of times FTL?

Speed. Equalized.

Also, no he wasn't, because he was expecting Kefla to be doing something. He's fighting a sandbag. Not a person. A sandbag. Something meant to be punched repeatedly.

Is this literally the crap we're doing now? If Goku can't hurt it (Which I find complete Bullshit and flat dumb), then it's a mismatch. Closing this.
