Honestly, I'd think resisting Phazon would be more impressive regardless. I think I remember her doing that. But I haven't played or watched anything Prime related past Prime 1 for years...

I mean, the mind manipulation Mother Brain has already extends for everything on Zebes, but I'll have to check the manga (Pretty sure they mentioned something about Samus having to join them on their own, as Mother Brain's mind manip doesn't affect her, also something along those lines for the Chozo themselves).
But technically yeah, Phazon is more impressive by all accounts, the Leviathan canonically uses it to control organisms to ensure its protected, and its capable enough to corrupt entire planets over time (Though that's because Phazon needs to move, not because it struggles to do so.)
