RWBY vol 8 discussion thread

I mean Vegeta in my RWBY x DBZ crossover gets law manipulation semblance in the Moro arc lol

Also ozpin sclaes to moon level via blasting a hole in king piccolo in a long fight where they both die and Salem is 5 times stronger then that

Moon level scaleing (up to vol 8):
Prime king piccolo and weakend Ozma: >>>>> 29.6 Exatons and >> 0.1c
Full power maiden cinder and all the maidens at full power, also post zenki bann with orange amp: >>>>>> 29.6 Exatons and >>> 0.1c.
Kami is well above them: >>>>>>>> 29.6 Exatons and >>>>> 0.1c.
Salem and prime Ozma: at least 148 Exatons and at least 0.5c

Fun fact

Team CFVY actually did somthing similar in After the Fall, they fought a grimm called the Blind Worm that was twice the size of a 100 foot tall turtle and valvet ripped it in half
 


Newest episode of Fairy Tales of Remnant dropped.

Some interesting things to note, besides the usual energy beams there are other types of magic used. First with Salem's father who made a long lasting barrier around the tower to keep Salem locked away. Also when Ozma storms the castle, the army are armed with axes that glow. We've seen in the main show how Maidens can conjure weapons, though I don't think this is the same thing since only the blade portion is glowing not the whole thing, leading me to believe that its some sort of weapon enhancement or augmentation using magic. Finally, when Ozma defeats Salem's father, he seemed to turn back his own attack against him so probably attack reflection.

Also, the sigil of the King's Castle was the exact same as the Arc's sigil but with a gem in the middle, possible connection between Salem and the Arc's?
 
So for the magic shown in the episode, we have forcefield creation and attack reflection, but for the weapon augmentation I don't think its listed on the powers and abilities section. What's the closest equivalent?
 


The final episode released today. A simple one, and not much was shown ability wise. But it was good. I hope they decide to adapt the other fairy tales as well.

Watching some old fights, and this is still my favorite one. I wished we could have had more of Oz fighting, but seeing him hold his own against a Maiden for a short while is cool.

I mean if that was the case her appearance would have reverted to that in "Amity" when her Aura was broken by Penny's laser.

Passive semblances still work even when aura is broken like qrows, for some reason

Qrows aura broke in his fight with tyrain yet his semblance made a wood beam almost hit ruby

I guess. Though that never made sense to me. Also, don't passive Semblances mean you can't control it? So how can Neo choose how to use it?
