Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

Sorry to bother, but I've been paying attention to the RVR thread ever since my two reports. This is, like, the third time I've seen you defend toxic and bigoted behavior as "not a big deal". I'd like to recommend you to stop.
There’s nothing wrong with him disagreeing with your opinions on what “toxic and bigoted behavior” constitutes…

I guess it depends on what type of behavior you think he’s “defending” and what’s being said in those specific instances so if you could provide those examples you mention that would be for the best.

That is a link to an xxx website, and the image literally shows someone's entire ass. Furthermore, he said some trollish posts afterward like, "You liked it didn't you?" which could come off as sexual harassment. I believe a short ban is justified unless he apologizes and promises never to do that again.
The dude directed the link towards me, him and I are good friends, it was just a ha ha funny end of NNN joke. I think you're blowing this extremely out of proportion, I don't feel harassed at all. I don't see how him posting that image towards me in a joking manner is any worse than the extremely nsfw pfps worn all throughout this site.

He essentially did nothing offensive, it was just disgusting and in some ways, pathetic. What he did was basically talk about what he doesn't know and be a fetishist, but is that really worthy of a ban?
Reducing someone's orientation to your own fetish (even admitting that's the only part of LGBTQ+ people he cares about) is offensive, yes

Our rules are pretty explicit on it:

Do not post links to pornographic images or videos. This will lead to an automatic ban without warning.

I don't think any harassment was intended, but his actions were still undeniably wrong. What he posted could have been much worse, which is why he isn't perma-banned and was only given a light sentence. It was still a link to a **** site either way.

It wasn't pornographic tho... it was just as lewd as an AKM pfp. It was Kaguya side boob and ass...
Girls in bikini isn't NSFW... Girls literally naked is and even linking a **** site as well

It may have sounded offensive, but no offense was intended. You can say things and not mean to hurt a person. Sure, what he said was ridiculous and he should have thought before he acted, but nothing he did was really offensive in the sense of wanting to hurt anyone as far I can see

You don’t think saying every single person who follows a religious belief is homophobic has intent to cause offense in it?

Don't we usually give warnings before an insta-ban tho? Pretty sure AnimeFreak had a clean record before this
No. Our rules page specifies this, and I quoted it up above.

AF2 is a fairly upstanding member of this community, I don't see why he should be insta banned for a lewd image of Kaguya in an apron as opposed to receiving a strick warning.

It is a temporary ban.

Y'all didn't even let other staff weigh in here, this seems like a way too rushed ban for a minor offense.

I trust DDM's judgement on this, but other staff can still weigh in with their thoughts on it if they want.

For everyone else, I would recommend not posting too much here on this thread. You've all said your piece, and the ban has been applied already. Let other staff comment on it if they wish.

I suppose the “This will lead to an automatic ban without warning” rule for linking **** sites makes the ban warranted
What about PFPs of girls in bikinis or nude chest men? Would you say those are appropriate and accessible to all ages?

I am inclined to agree with Arc7Kuroi regarding that the image that AnimesFreak2 posted did not involve sex, drawings of underage characters, or even frontal nudity, nor was it posted in order to be offensive. I think that a warning instruction would have been sufficient. We cannot be too strict and totalitarian.

As for UltimateDarkGod666, he seems to have a repeating history of proudly outspoken homophobic sentiments, so I don't mind his ban.

I don't think that we should punish heterosexual men for finding lesbian couples attractive any more than we should punish women for being fans of yaoi manga though. It is an ultimately harmless fetish, and has nothing to do with hatred or intolerance.

Also, there genuinely do exist very reliable PEW Research comprehensive statistics surveys regarding that many Muslims and Christians are very uncomfortable with homosexuality. Other statistics show that they are quickly growing more tolerant in this area, particularly younger people, which is very good, but we cannot just systematically lie and pretend that this is not the case, and say that anybody who has read the statistics is somehow bigoted or has something personally against either homosexuals, Muslims, or Christians in general.

That said, UltimateDarkGod666 really did just use it as an excuse for being bigoted himself, which is another issue entirely.
