Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

Okay, so should we allow him to participate here or not? The issue is whether or not he can behave in a civil manner, or will get into heated arguments with members here who are angry with how he has treated them, and then make YouTube videos about it.
I expect people to be able to either ignore him or debate calmly with him.

His profile page says that he is making official YouTube videos for the Sword Art Online wiki, and is presumably a staff member there. That speaks in his favour at least.

Ehh... I'm neutral about this

My opinion is we wait to see what he does and we act if he acts shitty or breaks rules. I'd prefer to avoid unnecessary drama like a YT video called "I was banned from VSW before I even did anything!" Though of course i'm not the final decision maker here.

I didn’t even say that we should ban him i said that he actually came here.
I was trying to respond to Ant.

I'll tell him that he is being watched very closely regardless

"Heya youtuber guy whatever! Pleasantries aside you are under a microscope, you are expected to debate without insulting people or getting too agressive. The bad blood you have here makes people far more willing to go straight to a permanent ban, while I myself don't give a damn one way or another, some... unfavorable actions can go back to you and will be used against you if you step out of respectful debating."

I would also prefer to allow him to present his arguments in a civil manner here. I much prefer peaceful and rational solutions to potentially hostile situations. However, being autistic, I have a notoriously bad sense of judgement regarding social drama situations, so I would prefer input from other high-ranking staff first.

Laugh and make YouTube videos all you want, even the people harassed the most are willing to give you a chance, don't screw it up.

if you are getting heated might I recommend watching Bob Ross to calm down then? he is pretty damn calming at the end of the day!"

the message i sent him on his wall

Well, I have sent him a PM message. I hope that he is able to respond, and our forum settings are not bad in that regard.

That is probably not appropriate to calm down a potentially bad situation.

I tend to drop my formalities when it comes to threats being made, sorry if it wasn't entirely appropriate but I felt it gets the message across

Do you have any useful input regarding what we should do here?
Don't know the guys videos or anything. Generally, I would say let him in and ban him if we get some reason to afterwards. That would of course include any off-site harassing.

DontTalk:

Okay. I have the same view, but will go to bed soon, so I would appreciate help from other staff members to check that he behaves properly.

I'm just gonna assume they've been watching the thread, think a general don't be a dick message should do the job well enough. I unno

Well, he has read my message, but either won't or can't reply. I suppose that I will have to let him in and have other staff members ban him if he starts to misbehave then.

He was unable to reply according to his personal information page, so I have now approved his account.

He's apparently been harrassing people here with his videos which is probably grounds for a permanent ban by default, but, it can't do any harm to see what he has to say and see how he behaves.
I'd need to see some evidence of this.

He has replied to me, and seems very reasonable so far. He has previously talked with Ursuul for advice, who is our wiki manager and a good friend of mine, so that speaks well of him.

I'd need to see some evidence of this.
Well, it is pointless to do so, as we do not accept accounts for non-wiki members to sign up here. We continuously sift them away in fact.

However, GamerTurk has specifically targeted harmless and friendly underage wiki members who are not public figures with repeated harrassment videos to the point of having one of them almost leave this community, so he does not seem like a nice guy, to say the least.
I don't have evidence, just going off what others said, and iirc, Problemexe's other account was harassed by him, might be wrong on that though.

I mean. Maybe I'm missing something, but as far as I can tell, he's just a normal user, no? If he does something against the rules, ban the man. If not, let him be. However reasonable he appears or whatever status he has elsewhere doesn't matter, imo.

Well, again, he seems to be a staff member in another wiki, was talking with Ursuul, and seems to be civil and rational so far. In addition, all that I knew of him previously is what a very stressed out member who was mentioned in one of his videos told me. As such, I hope that the situation isn't as bad as I thought, and we can solve our differences peacefully.

If they've provably harassed someone, sure, permaban them. But if not them just treat them as any other user.
Umm... Here's one: (Apparently, he easily loses his patience and doesn't know that every people can't chat with him all day cuz' people can be very busy)
Nothing in that comment breaks our rules. If it did then I'm 99% certain everyone on this thread would be banned based on comments on other sites or even comments on this very site.

I'm pretty sure this one violates the rule
Someone complaining about the site is not the same as destabilizing it. There's a difference between venting frustration and actively working against something. Plenty of people in this very thread has criticized this Wiki or some of the mindsets we have regarding, say, comic book scaling plenty of times before.
