(RP) War for the Worlds Chapter 3

The Sentinel begins a blind charge towards the group as a last ditch attempt to finish you off

"Here he comes." Lightning sparks through my sword as I dodge to the side, performing an iai towards the robot's legs with a lightning charged blade.

You swing the sword with all your might, and score a direct hit with the blade, the sword itself not being enough to cut through. However, the lightning courses through its system, frying its circuits. It collapses onto the floor, weakly trying to pick itself up.

The blows to its head and chest shatter it's circuits, the electric current still left in its body frying its CPU. The Sentinel stops moving completely a few seconds after.

[I'm pretty sure channeling electricity through his body and/or weapon amps Jason's body/weapon's AP (as is oh so common in fiction, cause lightning blade sounds cool). Iirc there were times he could cut enemies he couldn't do much to normally after using lightning powers.]

Tho the battle is over, you can still hear some machines whirringaround in the rubble. It's clear they aren't doing to back down.

I use the remaining time on my lightning to send a wide range bolt of electricity through the rubble.

"Let's keep moving."

You come across another hallway of rooms. Each of them has a metal, heavy duty security door, seemingly to keep something in.

[Woo]

[I shot the sentinel in the eye and it was apparently so insignificant it didn't even get a response from the GM]

[But I survived via phazing out of the time axis by which I mean timezones meant I wasn't playing that battle]

Suddenly, you can hear a noise coming from the room closest to you, namely a whirring noise and the sound of metal grinding.
