As Zack approaches the location of the black flame explosion, he wonders if he's gotten himself into something way over his head with the plague doctor, the illusion trap, the missing women, the royal symbol and now that strange dream he had...

Zack backs off and raises both of his hands.
"Fine... I'm not in the business of fighting women in the streets but you need to realize one thing m'lady, the kidnapper likely has connections in very high places and potentially possesses certain abilities you couldn't hope to understand. Don't say I didn't warn you".
With that, Zack leaves the woman alone.

(I assume if it’s not an energy that can be perceived by normal human senses, doesn’t give off heat, isn’t electrical or magnetic, wouldn’t change humidity of the air, or make noise, then it would bypass the senses

After checking he's outta of sight of the young lass, Zack activates Light Gecko before climbing up a nearby building, he then uses his enhanced sight to keep an eye on the young lass at a distance, he notices she has an unusually long shadow but paids it's no mind.
"There was something slightly off with that girl, I do not doubt she can handle herself in a fight but if the kidnapper and that plague doctor are indeed connected, she doesn't stand a chance".
