Metal sonic’s stamina isnt going to run out, idk whats the experience gap between the two. Since EOL’s way of fighting is bullet hell, Metal may be taking a lot of hits before he is knocked out, sure he can make a bubbleshield but I dont see it being super useful in the long run.

Metal has Bubble Shield (Which would break in one hit if Empress’ AP is higher since the Bubble Shield’s durability is NLF) to block himself from bullet hell.

He can also create Afterimages

And Speed Blitz Empress with Revving. Which unlike Sonic, he can do in the air.

I'll add on to the Metal Argument. Bubble Shield works 100% because Empress of Light is Small City Level while Metal Sonic is Small City Level+. Metal can also rev to instantly annihilate the range difference. The Empress wouldn't even be able to react to Metal Sonic, not allowing her to use her extra abilities
