Jonathan Joestar vs Ryu (Street Fighter)

Johnny V Ryu
Tiers are relativized, meaning that stats are not fully equalized, but rather merely changed to be comparable

Let's assume both are Hypersonic+ and Multi City Block level, but Jonathan is a bit faster and Ryu is a bit stronger

Both are in-character, victory by K.O., Ryu can become Evil Ryu if he's losing too badly

Skill and hax will decide the victor.

Who wins?

Gentleman Beefcake: 6 (Eficiente, Abscoolguy, Xtasyamphetamine, Sorvoe551, Jamesthetaker, Standuser081)

Sexier with a Beard:

The Manliest Draw:

With only a "bit" of difference between them Jothanan takes this via hax and healing.

I think jonathon because as much as ryu hurts him, he can dodge (because of higher speed in this case) and also if ryu gets some hits in he can just heal, and jonathon's hacks are pretty powerful in this case

There are two ways Jonathan can win this, mainly using the Ripple. Jonathan uses it to hypnotize Ryu and then make him do whatever he wants to make Jonathan win, he uses the Ripple and does a Sunlight Yellow Overdrive or set him on fire with Scarlet Overdrive. The reason why he wins here is because of his better speed and abilities than Ryu.

My vote is on JoJo.

I believe JoJo will win for the following reasons:

If JoJo is faster, Ryu will have a very difficult time touching him, considering Jonathan could react to Dio's eye laser, going Mach 5 at least.

Even if the condition is Ryu is stronger, Jonathan's physical strength is immense. Even before his Hamon training and eventual boost from Zeppeli, Jonathan could carry around several men his size and hold his own against a newly-changed Dio. With the physical power boosts and the additional power with Hamon, Jonathan will chip away at Ryu's durability fairly quickly.

When Jonathan uses SYO, he punches so fast that he produces afterimages of his fists. Ryu has never had to deal with that kind of speed. The closest is Chun-Li's kicks, but those only blur.

Voting JoJo for speed and comparible power.

Perhaps I will play devil's advocate for a moment and offer up a question.

How will Jonathan handle Evil Ryu, who has teleportation and Soul Manip?

Not to mention Ryu's overall experience advantage.

Hmm, Ryu's Shin Goku Satsu won't work on Jonathan because he isn't carrying any negative emotions anymore. Take note that Jonathan loved Dio and told him that they were equal in the final episode. So Jonathan still takes this.
