Not a fight (obviously). But because both of them have similar qualities, being blonde beautiful baddies that are westerners despite being from an anime, who is better at being the charismatic antagonist that has the audience love to see them as much as they like to see the hero? How would they get along, if at all?

Reinhard12
JJBA DIO

It's a hard thing to say. Due to the prevalence of Jojo Memes plus just the immense popularity of the manga, people may take the question at face value like some sort of popularity contest - which it isn't, Cal isn't setting up a "which is more popular, or more popular within their individual fanbases" kind of thing.

But, I'd have a hard time answering. I have much better knowledge of Jojo and Dio than of Reinhard, even if all the memes and the snippers of Dies Irae I see always give this contagious charismacy to Reinhard, which I can actually feel.

Hugo Boss made Nazi uniforms. Best looking military uniforms of all time. Especially the black SS uniforms.

That being said, have you seen DIO? His muscles, his glorious voice, his asmr whispering, his angelic smile? I think not.

Then you haven't seen Rein's muscles, or hear his voice or seen his confident smile. :v

Reinhard
THE BEST HUSBANDO EVER

Definitely DIO for me.

As majorly charismatic Rein is, Dio's got that going on for quite a while and that's not limiting to JP alone.

That and I know Dio more than Rein who I only knew about like...2-3 yrs now.

DIO for me, and not because of memes. He's not only emblematic inside and outside of his own story but also more interesting than most people would think + Jojo is my favorite manga (also the light novel Over Heaven is great, despite being non canon).

However i was really surprised by Reinhard when reading the VN (mainly because the anime looked like garbage despite trying hard to be cool in the first episode). Just like DIO in stardust, he have a huge build up, but a much more powerful one. This guy is an unstoppable force of nature and the story knows how to sell him as this invincible being. He's actually a good villain, even if he's incredibly chuuni in every way.

The above pic is supremely ironic, considering that the scene where he does that quote is directly after molesting and forcibly kissing a girl. After which he proceeds to punch her. That, and DIO doesn't have a great history with women in general: Poco's sister, that mother he forced to eat her own baby, all the mindhaxed women in his mansion, the women killed on Jonathan's ship, Giorno's mom, shopkeeper girl etc.

That fact that a feminist was able to ignore all that and use Dio as the mascot of her placard is the greatest proof that Dio is infinitely more likeable and charismatic than Reinhard.

I rest my case.

I have only seen a few episodes of Jojo's first season because my friend forced me to watch it and I only said yes, despite me thinking that the art style was disgusting, was that I had heard it was good from literally the entire internet.

And from the episodes that I watched, I didn't find Dio to be interesting or charismatic at all - kind of the opposite really, I found him to be the most grating part of the episodes that I watched.

The only reason I like Dio at all, is because I later found out all the memes he has which I find generally funny.

But besides memes, I have no interest whatsoever to continue to watch Jojo. The few episodes that I saw never hooked me and nothing I have heard of the series on this site has changed that perspective.

Before I knew what Dies Irae was, I stumbled on to Reinhard's profile when I was just browsing through Tier 1 profiles for fun.

And from just seeing his picture - I was interested in the verse. I liked the art style, and Reinhard's design looked fantastic - I was instantly captivated. I was then disappointed to find out that he came from a visual novel that wasn't translated.

Months pass, and I for a reason I don't remember, I was telling my sister information I recalled from Reinhard's profile, saying how he has a lot of similarities to a character from books my sister really liked.

When I went to find the profile again, I decided to search for the game again for no real reason, and then I found out that the game was getting translated - I grew ecstatic. I made sure to purchase the game and start communicating with the Discussion Threads for the series.

And I loved every minute of it, but especially, I loved Reinhard for birthing that love.

So yeah, for me it is no contest - Reinhard is the more charismatic being by far. In my heart, to compare the two is like to compare a star to a campfire.

As for how they would get along - Reinhard loves everything and everyone, of course, he would get along with Dio.

You can't honestly think that the series is aesthetically appealing to look at.

I will fight you, and anyone else, on that point.

On a more serious note, I don't blame you for abandoning JoJo when you watched Part 1. I know several people that actually dropped JoJo after the first 2 episodes *coff* *coff* Cal *coff*, but after they came back to watch it or just skipped that Part, they became great JoJo fans. Like, I still have the screens of Cal admitting his love for JoJo and yet he never watched Part 1. It was easily the worst part of the series, and that's generally agreed by the entire JoJo community. But I suggest you to at least watch Part 3 (Part 2 is still kinda bound to Part 1 in terms of plot even though it's already several orders of magnitude greater), and then come back to watch the earlier parts.

Prom and Azathoth are JoJo fans.

As I said, everything I have heard about the series from this site hasn't intrested me at all. Not to mention the plot summarys that I read online. So I just don't think it is a series for me.

My argument was on the art style, so I don't know why Prom or Azathoth's enjoyment of the series has to do with that.

And only the love of Reinhard can save you from this meaningless existence.

How can you skip Jojo Part 1 after you watched this scene and then proceed to kick the dog. You can't get better than that.

Whats wrong with the artstyle though

@Warren JoJo isn't necessarily about plot. Hell, Araki makes it up as it goes on. JoJo's real focuses are others, and actually, JoJo does so much stuff it's nearly impossible that a single person in the planet wouldn't like at least one aspect of it. You like buff men that punch each other? Part 1 is right here. You want extremely strategic battles that are also fun and easy to follow? Part 2 is right here. You like seeing characters just hanging around and world building? Part 4 exists (even though it's not only that).

JoJo is literally just so broad it's nearly impossible to not like not even one aspect of it. Literally the only reason I was able to watch Part 1 was for the art style, but my favorite thing in JoJo are the extremely interesting battles.

I don't really have a better word to describe it with, but it has that "man" art style.

It is too bold, too jagged, and too shaded.

I find it repulsive.

Here is a picture of Naruto, and here is a picture of Naruto drawn by the Jojo mangaka. You see the difference, right?

Yeah feminists loving DIO is funny because how most of the time DIO looks down upon women as tools.

He even viewed Pucci as a tool too if you think about it.

Ironic innit. Also as much as I love Part 1 DIO I usually tell people to skip to 2. Its slow as molasses story wise and lacks any real pull outside of DIO.

Well, I guess I can do the nearly impossible because nothing from what I read about the plot or characters and what I have heard on this site has captured my interest whatsoever.

As for the art style, I already mentioned that.

And interesting battles mean nothing if what I am looking at makes me want to rip out my iris's in horror.

It's commendable to try, but you are not going to be able to change my mind on this - men closer to me than you have tried and failed, nothing you've said isn't stuff I haven't heard before. I have pretty unique tastes.

Part 4 has the least "intimidating" art style it's very pop art-y. You might enjoy that.
I "inhale" media. If I was to watch part four, I would watch all of it.

And I don't really want to, as I have said.

Yeah its perfectly fine to watch or start Jojo at any part all of the stories stand on their own merit and don't require watching previous parts.

If you're still gonna strongly stick to this start at the beginning just go with Part 2 Part 1 is so different to the rest of the series and is a slog even with the anine abridging a lot of it.
