it's just a gruesome topic, especially considering that a good chunk of our users are underage.Wait why can't we talk about real people killing each other? It's not like we actually want them to die this is just for fun.
I'm kicked out of the house and unemployedMost of the people that are into VS debates are either teens or 400 lb 30 year olds that live in their dad's basement eating Doritos anyhow
I mean either way we're discussing people killing other people, and either way it's a fictional debate so I really don't think it matters. It's not like someone is gonna kidnap two real people and make them fight to the death.it's just a gruesome topic, especially considering that a good chunk of our users are underage.
I'm pretty sure that most 13 year olds can handle debating over which fictional character can kill the otherAlso people under the age of like 14 probably shouldn't be on here anyhow
I was under the impression this is what OP did... basically always? I'm speaking his language. I'll respond to Smoke's points in a 'mo.Seems pretty unnecessary to go out of your way to insult the OP like this. That said, I don't agree with having IRL profiles, nor am I really against it.
I dont know what Big Smoke did in the past or present, I literally have no idea, but the OP doesnt seems rudeI was under the impression this is what OP did... basically always? I'm speaking his language. I'll respond to Smoke's points in a 'mo.
what were your actual points? all i've seen is "we're not debating the killing of real world people" (which i never proposed and actually took measures to prevent) and "even match-banned profiles provide the implication that we have considered how easy it is to kill this person" (which i did respond to).Oh, actually, BigSmoke didn't respond to my actual points. Alrighty then. Seems settled to me, wonderful.
i have a feeling this'll get you bannedMost of the people that are into VS debates are either teens or 400 lb 30 year olds that live in their dad's basement eating Doritos anyhow
Cmon man... please don't die on this hill. Never once saw him speak like that, and you seem to know that it's not right to speak like it. This is no excuse for being disrespectful out of spite for BigSmoke previous actions.I was under the impression this is what OP did... basically always? I'm speaking his language.
I think the concern is that real world individuals might take up legal action against the wiki which, again I doubt they care, and also by that logic we already risk the creators/owners of these franchises taking legal action so what's the difference. And what are those political troubles?
uhh, no? we'd have to look through their durability feats, that's hardly the same thing as debating what it would take to kill the personWe'd still have to debate what it would take to kill the person to make the profile.
it's fine. we shouldn't derail the thread over this.Cmon man... please don't die on this hill. Never once saw him speak like that, and you seem to know that it's not right to speak like it. This is no excuse for being disrespectful out of spite for BigSmoke previous actions.
Fair enough. Even so worrying about legal ramifications or moral issues with giving a real person physical limits is silly so I honestly don't see why they shouldn't be allowed.yeah, but we should make sure they're allowed in the first place before we consider lifting the matchban.
Your right, sorry for my attitude.it's fine. we shouldn't derail the thread over this.
"Even match-banned profiles provide the implication that, hm, yes, we have considered how easy it is to kill this person. As I said, leave that shit on Discord. Your cringe/meme/funny haha profiles are a different horse entirely when compared to folks who were or, since we're using Mike Tyson as the example, still ******* are breathing."what were your actual points? all i've seen is "we're not debating the killing of real world people" (which i never proposed and actually took measures to prevent) and "even match-banned profiles provide the implication that we have considered how easy it is to kill this person" (which i did respond to).
i replied to the first sentence of this. the rest of it didn't seem to be worth responding to, since it seems to be a conclusion rather than a point."Even match-banned profiles provide the implication that, hm, yes, we have considered how easy it is to kill this person. do you really think mike tyson's gonna sue us for having a profile that uses his physical characteristics as a benchmark for peak human strength? because that sounds pretty silly.Even this ignores the issues brought up in the last thread of legality.
i don'tI hope y'all understand.
First off... I guess that means you don't really have a counterargument, then. Given you solely responded to my non-points about how this thread was meh in its creation and thus I should respond to the overall topic rather than just the ideas of this thread specifically.i replied to the first sentence of this. the rest of it didn't seem to be worth responding to, since it seems to be a conclusion rather than a point.
