Questions about Wolverine's claw AP.

So Wolverine is currently listed at 4-B with his Claws due to harming Thor, Hulk, Thanos and I believe Ultron as well.

Does he have literal 4-B potency in the sense he can generate a 4-B amount of energy with his claws and oneshot characters of a lower tier, or can he just harm people with 4-B dura via how adamantium works or something? Remembered something similar on Star Wars profiles saying Lightsabers can harm people with higher durability such as Grievous.

I believe it's just a matter of them being so sharp that they can cut through 4-B dudes, not that he can actually put that much energy into an attack.

No, it should just means he can cut through any character that doesn't have a good piercing/cutting durability. All of those character listed as 4-B in durability, have a great durability against many different attacks, like blunt force, energy blast, kinetic force, but they aren't so great against cutting attacks. If his claws would be so powerful to literally generate a 4-B attack, right now he wouldn't be listed as 9-A. Reading 4-B is really tricky, but cut through a skin of a character, even if he's a 4-B in durability it doesn't mean he can damaging anything below that tier. One thing not mentioned enough is his strength, to generate more damaging with a blade or claws you need more strength, it doesn't matter how sharp is the blade or what is the material, you can't put enough force against something that is a lot above your strength level, but if you do that, it just mean that, whatever Logan damaged with his claws, was just weak against cutting attacks.

So, he can cut through 4-B characters? Sure, if those guys are more weak against cutting attacks rather than blunt force. He can literally generate 4-B attack in kinetic terms? Not even close, due to his limited strength. So, he can cut through something 4-8 in durability but still weak against cutting attacks, but at the same time, he couldn't be able to cut against someone or something below, even 7 tier for example, because it can resist better against cutting attacks for example, because maybe isn't something organic like the skin, and, at the same time, Logan can't do nothing about it because his power attack is not enough, because his strength is not enough.
