Question about standard equipment

So character A is a Spirit possessing a doll owned by character B. In-verse laws dictate that character B now also owns character A. If the doll possessed by character A is always or almost always carried around by character B, can character A be considered standered equipment for character B? And can powers possessed by character A be attributed to character B by proxy?

I mean, as long as Character A usually possesses something and that thing is used as a weapon by Character B, I don't see why not? It wouldn't really be different from a sentient sword or something. Still gives the same abilities.
