Question about the + symbol for attack potency

So ofc if a character for example scales above a Building level feat by an absurd amount inverse they would be given the Building level+ ratings as it states on the wiki: "The "+" symbol can also be used if there exists a calculation extremely close to the arithmetic mean, and characters scale above the calculated feat by a wide margin, for example being able to defeat enemies on such levels with a single casual attack" however can we apply the same logic to a character who scales above a Building level+ feat by a wide margin to get them to Large Building level? And if not why?

Upscaling has nothing to do with the + symbol, your question being phrased like that is a bit confusing.

We can upscale as long as the person someone is upscaling to is close to the next tier.

If Character A is 1.8 Tons and gets one shotted by Character B's normal attack, Character B can indeed be upscaled to High 8-C's baseline which is 2 Tons.

However, upscaling cannot be done if the gap is too wide. Generally a 1.2x gap is seen as alright for upscaling, but there is no solid standard and is simply case by case.

Though anyone can agree that a 0.4 Tons character will never upscale to High 8-C no matter how many one shots there are in a scaling chain.
