Question about POSTAL

I'm suprised this type of question hasn't been asked sooner but seeing how the original Postal Dude from the 1997 game is technically the father of Postal Dude Jr, shouldn't there be seperate profiles for them, Postal Dude Jr shouldn't have the weapons from the OG game because in the game, you technically play as his father.
