Possible Justice League Action High 6-C+ Downgrades?

Looking at when this page got brought up as an example for how tier 8 can reach up to tier 6 based on statements alone. When I checked the page out, this seems to have come from a statement where these people were said to probably survive a nuke that would wipe out half of the state of New York. One problem for sure, is that this doesn't even have a calc referring to this, meaning that there's no substance behind this at all. We don't entirely know for sure if this would actually yield out H6C+ results. At worse you could assume that this would be around either 7-A or 6-C+ based on the common feat. But unless if there's a calc or a true reasoning behind this, then maybe I can reconsider the whole thread.

a calc should be done instead of downgrading then to a barely related value thats blatantly far below what they should be, nuking new york is not wiping out half the state of new york

When I made a matchup of JL Action Supes, I noticed that FireStorm was rated High 6-C without any calcs which I assumed was baseline cuz it was might’ve been discussed somewhere. Guess it was just put there.

Is it specifically the state? Cause the state is 141300km^2 - way bigger than the city itself

This means that the theoretical radius of a circular version of half the state would be 149,962m and plugging that into the ground blast formula I got 271,037,377,664 tons or 271 Gigatons - High 6-C

Technically it's bit of a lowball, like if it's clear that the half of the state of New York is being obliterated then of course it's going to include nuking New York City in a very high end way. But now that I see that it finally has a calc, maybe it won't really be downgraded after all.
