The Non-Physical Interaction Page uses Link's ability to fight and trap Poes as an example of having said ability: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Non-Physical_Interaction

Well, figured this could be considered: in Final Fantasy VII the cast actually does get to fight Ghosts and Spectral enemies, which they can hurt with physical attacks and magic (as well as summons and ítems for that matter).

In fact, beyond random encounters, an entire part of the story, centered around Red XIII's past, consists of dealing with the spirits of the fallen Gi Tribe. Examples are as follow (I apologize in advance for the lousy format): Gi Spectre, Gi Nattak, Soul Fire, Ghost and, potentially, Ghost Ship.

The Gi Spectre Ò髵ùÅÒü«õ║íÚ£è (Gi Zoku no Bōrei, lit. Gi tribe Apparition)

Info on the enemy:
https://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gi_Spector

Description: The ghost of a fallen Gi warrior that haunts the Cave of the Gi.

Battle: https://youtu.be/NKXLl5Xmfoo?t=197 (Cloud slashes it, Tifa punches it and Red bites/claws it.)

Another Battle: https://youtu.be/MAuOGgjfUqg?t=656 (Red finishes a team of them with the Ifrit Summon)

Gi Nattak Òé«Òâ╗ÒâèÒé┐Òé┐Òé» (Gi Natataku)

Info on the Enemy:
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gi_Nattak

Description: The boss of the Cave of the Gi, it's rather unclear if it's the ghost of the tribe leader or an amalgamation of the ghosts of several Gi Warriors.

Battle: https://youtu.be/XBd-3rI7VUQ?t=707 (Beginning of the fight, Aerith and Red XIII hurt Gi Nattak and the Souls with Magic. 14:29 Cloud uses Meteorain Limit Break and Red XIII follows with Sled Fang, 15:11 Cloud slashes Gi Nattak. 15:46 Cloud finishes it off with Fire2)

Another Battle: https://youtu.be/MAuOGgjfUqg?t=1622 (Cloud uses Cross Slash on Gi Nattak)

It was pretty flipping hard to find a good fight, most players use an X-Potion for an insta kill <_>

Soul Fire Òé¢ÒéªÒâ½ÒâòÒéíÒéñÒéó (Sōru Faia)

Info on the Enemy:
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Soul_Fire

Description: Soul enemies, that use the classic fire-like depiction of souls. They accompany Gi Nattak. Can be hurt as well.

Battle: https://youtu.be/XBd-3rI7VUQ?t=707 (Beginning of the fight Aerith and Red XIII hurt the Souls with Bolt and Ice magic).

What is the Gi Tribe?

In Final Fantasy VII they were a warrior tribe that tried to invade Cosmo Canyon, roughly 50 years before the events of the game, infiltrating through the cave of the Gi (also known as the Sealed Cave). Their invasión was stopped by Red XIII's father, Seto, who held them off by himself at the caves. Eventually, the deceased souls of the Warriors who fell in battle became ghosts that begun to haunt the cave of the Gi.

What happened in the game?

When you arrive at Cosmo Canyon with Cloud and the party, Red XIII expresses his disdain for his father, believing that when the Gi attacked, Seto had ran away. Bugenhagen decides it's time to show what really happened and takes Cloud, Red and the rest to the cave of the Gi.

Here are some extracts of the game's script: A small note: In the japanese script, the Gi are constantly referred as õ║íÚ£è (Bōrei), which means ghost or apparition, so it's not something that was only added in the translation: https://jisho.org/word/亡霊

(As you go into the Cave of the Gi)

Bugenhage

"What are you crazy? It's dangerous in there. I told you that!"

"You want an old man like me should go first? I'll be right behind you."

(They enter the door. Climbing down a long series of ropes and ladders, they reach the bottom of a long tunnel. Traversing a cave, they reach a doorway, where Bugenhagen speaks.)

Bugenhage

"Ho Ho Hoooo."

"Everyone here's a Ghost of the Gi tribe. Killed in a certain battle."

Red XIII

"A certain battle?"

Bugenhage

"The vengeful spirits of the Gi didn't disappear, and couldn't return to the Lifestream..."

"We still have far to go. Ho Ho Hoooo."

(They travel through the next cave.)

Bugenhage

"As you can see, this cave leads to the back of Cosmo Canyon."

"It was unfortunate that the Gi were larger than us. If they attacked though here, we wouldn't have stood a chance."

Red XIII

".........."

Bugenhagen

"Let's move on."

(They pass the next cave.)

Bugenhage

"This warrior went through the cave all alone."

"Fighting attackers one after another..."

Red XIII

"Grandpa........ That warrior...."

Bugenhage

"Ho Ho Hoooo... We're almost there."

(In the next cave, they find a huge, grotesque statue on the wall, surrounded by lava.)

Bugenhage

"What is this.....?"

Red XIII

"Grandpa, is he...!?"

Bugenhage

"After death... The ghosts of the Gi... Like stagnant air....."

"This... can't be!!"

Here are more examples of ghost enemies not related to the Gi Tribe:

Ghost Òé┤Òâ╝Òé╣Òâê (Gōsuto)

Info on the enemy:
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost_(Final_Fantasy_VII)

Description: A classic bedsheet-like ghost that appears in the Train Graveyard Stage.

Battle: https://youtu.be/29rCTYqzrZY?t=231

Ghost Ship Òé┤Òâ╝Òé╣ÒâêÒéÀÒââÒâù (Gōsuto Shippu)

Info on the enemy: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost_Ship

Description: Just as the name indicates. However, this is a lesser example because it could be just a tangible, possessed ship instead of an actual non-corporeal enemy.

Battle: https://youtu.be/1HR76Ft81IU?t=390 (Cloud uses Morph on one to turn it into an Item)

Second Battle: https://youtu.be/1HR76Ft81IU?t=594 (Tifa uses her Limit Breaks; punches, kicks and grappling moves, on it)

There are more ghostly looking enemies, but these are the ones that can be confirmed as ghosts, the rest could simply be undeads, possesed objects, or just be ghostly looking but not spectral in nature.

TL;DR: Cloud and the party do fight ghosts during the game, which they can hurt with physical or magical attacks. It's not something seen only in gameplay, you also go through a dungeon where the story itself adresses the enemies you fight as ghosts of a fallen warrior tribe. So I think it's viable to give the main FFVII cast Non-Physical Interaction, given hurting ghosts seems to qualify.

Thanks for your time and patience!

Honestly, this should be a standard for pretty much every Final Fantasy character given how ubiquitous ghosts and spirits are.

Well, you're right, guys: https://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost_(enemy)

Ghosts appears as enemies in every game except for III, V, VIII, XIII and XV (main games at least). And variations such as spirits or souls do appear in some games as well.

Even then, in VIII's case they do fight Blood Soul and Creeps which are a ghoul like thing (and it's japanese name "Brat Soul" is a word play with Gaki which can mean brat and also hungry ghost/devil) and a literal shadow. In III there are only zombies, but we have these two , the wisps if we interpret wisp as "Ghost Light" or as in "Will o Wisp", the red one is also undead. FFV cast should get it by virtue of hitting Exdeath who has non-corporeality on his profile.

Sadly, Crisis Core doesn't seem to have any non-corporeal enemies to give Zack the ability directly. Though you can make a case for him that his abilities shouldn't be that different in nature from Cloud's and the party's, but all he fights are enemies that just look like ghosts.

And thanks a lot for the input, BTW.

I don't know know why I read that as "allow Cloud to be able to hit o Link", lol.

So, this is acceptable then. It can be added? May be a rather silly question, but how can it be done? FFVII profiles are locked from what I know, so should I contact someone in particular?
