Possible Acasualty for characters.

So I was wondering: Shouldn't MLP characters have acasualty? When Midnight Sparkle was blasting open reality, we see a, perfectly normal Equestria...and yet this was taking place at the same time as the S5 finale.

Wouldn't this mean that Starlight's actions did not affect any of the main timeline characters, and just created alternate timelines? Twilight herself wasn't affected (pony Twi), she just got sent to an alternate timeline.

Considering Twilight wasn't changed at all when the past was constantly altered it seems possible not sure about the rest tho

I'm not sure about pony Twi, sbe could have been protected via the scroll. However the EQG definitely confirms it, as we see a normal Equestria through the portals in spite of Starlight's meddling. Sunset Shimmer is also completely normal, even though she should have been affected.

They both sound exactly the same; that is, being immune to changes made to the past. Any big differences I didn't catch on to?

Acausality also protects from Causality Manipulation, since it transcends cause and effect itself, Time Paradox Immunity just protects from time paradoxes.
