Considering the extremely metaphorical nature of Solgaleo being the "beast that devours the sun", I'm also counting on this being a metaphor.

I like how Solgaleo and Lunala are the only Pokemon whose PokeDex entries are considered Hyperbole or Metaphor.

That's partially because others are written in a very "matter of the fact" way, while theirs are written in a more mystical, metaphorical way. I do think Lunalala's dex entry sounds more plausible, but without a timeframe or anything it won't be usable.
