Pokemon scaling issues/confusion

So I'm reading Mewtwo's profile, trying to see how far into 6-A he is, then I ran into a bunch of problems, which I will break down. Starting with base Mewtwo.

Ok cool, so I go to check the legendary birds' profile.

Zapdos , Moltres , and Articuno are all small country level.

Also on each of their profiles: (It took all 3 of the Legendary Birds to take down Lugia)

Lugia's profile: Country level (Can cause 40-day storms by flapping its wings)

Saitama OK
  • "Casually created a hurricane in the movie."
Alright cool, I go to check the calc . The link may not work for some, so I managed to take screenshots of the results (as it doesn't work for me either.

Result 1

Result 2 , which was likely the edited version of the 1st calc.

So a High 7-A feat revised to 7-A.

  • "Capable of impaling Deoxys with a spoon"
So I go to Deoxys's profile.

"At least Multi-Continent level, likely higher (Matched Mega Rayquaza in combat)

So I visit Rayquaza's profile. Lo and behold, I'm once again given the run around.

"At least Multi-Continent level (Overwhelmed both Groudon and Kyogre 1,000 years ago) | At least Multi-Continent level, likely higher (Was superior to Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre after they gained power from the first meteoroid in ORAS)"

So I go to Groudon's profile, since Kyogre only has his scaling to Groudon for his AP justification.

"Multi-Continent level (Created an artificial sun that released a beam. Stated in the legend to have raised continents and fought Regirock, Registeel and Regice in the manga)"

So I go to the calc.

Final Tally

Groudo

  • Radiation Energy = 1.273e17 Joules/s; 30.43 Megatons
  • GBE of su = 9.282e18 Joules; 2.218 Gigatons
  • Beam speed = Distance/Time = (6287.68m)/(0.066 seconds) = ~95268 m/s, or Mach 280
Kyogre

  • Energy generated from cloud = (50,800 km^2)/(665 km^2)*(6e14 Watts) = 4.5835e16 Joules; 10.955 Megatons
So, Small Island level+ and Massively Hypersonic for Kyogre/Groudon? I will do one for Rayquaza and Jirachi as well.

On a side note, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are all High 6-A for helping stop Groudon and Kyogre. The reference calcs that Lina used appear to have not been accepted by the community, given the comments. I did find a hypothetical calc on Groudon however.

Striking Strength: Multi-Continent Class (In its fight against Kyogre, they destroyed and created continents)
Evidence?

I think "there must be more info than this". Then I find this gem in the comments on Rayquaza.

For Mega Rayquaza

  • Kinetic Energy = 101.508 Teratons; Large Country level
  • Rayquaza's speed = Mach 13802.53; Sub-Relativistic
For Jirachi

  • Radiation Energy = 82.367 Petatons; Multi-Continent level
Still nothing multi-continental yet, besides Jirachi that nobody scales from. Now we move on to Mega Evolutions Mewtwo.

  • At least Multi-Continent level, likely higher (Vastly superior to its base form. Fought Zygarde as Mega Mewtwo X and Y in the manga)
So I go to Zygarde's profile.

This is circular scaling, even though the profile has 6-A for being stronger as a Mega. And for people who might miss the little details, Mewtwo only fought 50% Zygarde, not the 100% version with actual High 6-A feats.

We scaled everyone to the "raised continents" feat for ages (Also Regigigas pulling continents).

It's just that whoever does Pokémon upgrades apparently don't want to change justifications.

I think that 50% of a High 6-A would also qualify as High 6-A depending on how high the calc's results are.

Regardless, I think that there are indeed plenty of 6-A / High 6-A feats for certain Legendaries which scale to Mewtwo. The profiles just need better reasoning.

Seems like textbook circular scaling to me, don't see where high 6-A is coming from either, hope someone can enlighten us.

Edit: Saikou seems to have an answer

I agree for the most part that our justification for Pokemon stats are circular and faulty, and we should be more clear and solid with consistency on it. Nevermind the fact that the calcs, as you have stated, clearly don't show 6-A yields. I agree with you wholly here.

However, it is pretty much a fact Groudon has shaped and created continents, and manifests and represents all of land. The literal plan of Team Magma was to use Groudon's power to convert all the oceans in the world to landmass. So we should scale it off of that.

Seriously I don't know who does the changes in Pokémon profiles but we have justification for a reason. It's been almost the third time that our Pokémon profiles look like shit because we didn't update the justification. Enough is enough.

There's nothing wrong with a little refining. Seems like minor work if you ask me if all you need to do is state a more justifiable reason, which you should have.

And Lugia's calc isn't 7-A, it's 6-B. Over 11 Teratons.
That part refers to Mewtwo's hurricane feat.

Also, 6-A starts at 4.4 petatons, Yveltal and Xerneas were stated to have both powered the ultimate weapon, the result being 22.5 petatons. They were also stated to be superior to 50% Zygarde, so at least less than 11.25pT, which is still 6-A (assuming they both charged the weapon equally).

@Unite It only takes one to power the ultimate weapon. In X, Xerneas did. In why, instead Yveltal did.

Well as far as the manga goes, I don't remember seeing anything about Kyogre directly influencing the sea level, but I do remember it was explained that a volcano died, thus increasing the sea level , and multiple volcanoes died when Kyogre/Groudon had their event, though I don't remember the reason why either.

Kaiserwombat has plenty of calcs (I'm assuming the second one Matt linked is one of them, specifically Groudon and Kyogre raising sootopolis).

Even has some bit feats like MCB Meowstics.

It'sprobably not relevant here but iirc doesn't Dailybird have an impressive feat in the manga or anime?

So Continent level Legendaries is pretty darn consistent across all Pokémon generations from what I've seen

The petaton calc seems like it's being heavily questioned in the comments.
Yeah, I noticed. But the Tier 7 low-end is acceptable. It's a very good feat since it slaps the enemy Pokémon into the core of the planet causing magma to explode out of the hole.
