Pokemon scaling issues/confusion

We likely should not use stats for this. Just make it so Deoxys' Durability and AP shift from different values per form.

Deoxys strongest values scales to Rayquaza and not Mega Rayquaza as it was stomped in both Adventures and Generations.

@Dragon

I'm not talking about stats. I'm saying that if the form that sacrifice defence for attack can survive punching something with High 6-A force, it means that the gap isn't entire tiers

Because it's not like OR/AS didn't have games or anything...
Deoxys better forms were shown to fight better with Rayquaza rather than Mega Rayquaza because in the Game, Adventures and Generations Mega Rayquaza can oneshot Deoxys.

Mega Rayquaza never one-shot Deoxys in ORAS.
Plot wise not as they needed to repel or catch it as it depends, but Generations, which showed good and accurate adaptations of Pokémon moments showed that segment and by also going with game mechanic Mega Ray can easily handle Deoxys.

>Mega Rayquaza one shots

>Deoxys casually creates a rock shield to defend in literally the first move

>Barriers resist Mega Rayquaza's strongest attack for a while.

>Remains in one piece after breaking through shields.

>Is in the center of the meteor when Mega Rayquaza rams through the center with his strongest attack.

>Manga version loses because Mega Rayquaza hit a weak spot as a last resort.

Yeah, in that video Mega Rayquaza bursted through Deoxys's strongest attack and shield (I'm assuming it's strongest)

So, by watching these sourches they should be:

Base Mewtwo: Massively Hypersonic+. At least Low 6-B [Superior to the birds, can fight evenly with Base Deoxys and damage its core]

Base Deoxys: Massively Hypersonic+. At least Low 6-B [Can fight Mewtwo. It was disintegrated by Rayquaza in the Movie]

In Attack Form the Ap is at least High 6-A [Can damage Rayquaza], while in Defense Form at least High 6-A [Can take attacks from Rayquaza]. Lastly for Speed Form, the speed is boosted to Sub-Relativistic [Can keep up with Rayquaza].

Base Deoxys was slammed into the ground by Rayquaza and survived tho. At 6:20 of the second video

It's not like that Rayquaza attacked, it only restrained and slammed Deoxys into the ground, which is not the same as taking one of his attacks.

It is though. Rayquaza wasn't holding back, so I fail to see why slamming Deoxys into the ground would be several orders of magnitude weaker than its attacks

Deoxys also damaged Rayquaza while flying alongside it into that bridge.

Rayquaza was shown afterwards to not be harmed, also it makes sense from Deoxys gimmick of increasing a particular stat depending on the form.

Did it at 2:15 as well. Also Deoxys blocked an attack while in attack form (used a few rocks but still)

Stats can be increased without the need to change tier though.

@UMR

Yeah, it's called PIS. That or Deoxys making a forcefield

@J-Man

If Deoxys scales from Rayquaza

Rayquaza used a very casual attack to destroy simple rocks. Deoxys scales to Rayquaza in certain Forms.

Deoxys should scale to base Rayquaza, in Gen 3 anyway. Maybe not outright since Rayquaza can vaporize him rather casually with stronger attacks but to an extent yeah.

Mewtwo shouldn't scale from Deoxys IMO, since he impaled Deoxys through uts "crystal heart" which is a weak point .

>Hyper Beam

>casual attack

Wot.

@J-Man

Pretty much. Rayquaza is stronger but the difference isn't Low 6-B vs High 6-A, just High 6-A vs stronger High 6-A

I'm not so sure on the brain being a weak point, yeah if you damage it he's gonna get screwed but considering it took a point blank hyper beam from Rayquaza and it was the onky thing left over while the rest if him was vaped for like a decade?

I'd argue the gem actually has higher durability, just if you bypass it he's totally screwed (and Mewtwo did use a heavily focused attack)

Well if the other feats dubunks themselfes, i suppose i will aim to downgrade Deoxys, Mewtwo and others to at least High 6-A. Since Deoxys is not on par with Mega Ray.

Pretty sure they traded blows and Mewtwo survived a Psycho Boost before that, my friend.

Yeah Mewtwo dod tank one, he was impaled by attack form though (although he was weakened by that point if I recall).

He did still trade blows with him though.

Manga Mewtwo damaged Deoxys core on two occasions, something which Rayquaza was unable to destroy in the Movie.

@Dark Isn't that cross continuity scaling?
Yes, but apperantly all the Pokémon profiles sans the trainers are composite and also uses cross continuity scaling.
