Persona 5 cast returning from EE

Near the end of Persona 5 (spoilers, duh), the cast is erased from existence by Yaldabaoth. Not much time later, they show up completely intact inside the Velvet Room.

This feat is currently classified as Resistance to Existence Erasure, but they were clearly erased without actual issue. Besides, isn't returning from being erased, mind, body and soul considered Mid-Godly Regenerationn? The problem is, this is the only instance of this degree of Regenerationn. Otherwise, the characters cap out at Mid-Low. So then I thought this might be a form of Immortality, akin to Type 4. But that doesn't make any sense either, since death is very much an issue for the cast.

I need help finding a way to classify this. What kind of ability would this fall under?

If they came back from EE, that's Mid-Godly. Seeing as this is an end game thing, it would only be apart of their endgame key.

Even at the End-Game though, they never demonstrate Mid-Godly regen other than that one scene either. Also, while it is debatable when exactly the "End-Game" key starts, he seems to go through a clear boost in power right when the door to his cell breaks (which could be considered the End-Game power boost) which isn't until after he's already survived the Existence Erasure.

I mean, showing a type of regen once doesn't make it an outlier. There are many characters like that. It isn't like he got it in a fight and the entire fight is an outlier or PIS looking at you Digimon Adventure Finale.

Alright, that seems pretty fair to me. So, he was erased from existence, and yet regained his full body and soul. Mid-Godly?

We have to note that the Mid-Godly only kicks in if they're actually erased, and isn't something that's constantly healing them mid-battle. Something like "Mid-Low, Mid-Godly if EE'd", then?

If Yaldy erased the perception of the phantom thiefs from humanity; do you think it is worthy to add it is Mid-Godly up to Concept Manipulation Type 4?

Otherwise, it seems fine.

Speaking of Yaldy's concept manip, since he can affect the perception of the concepts, wouldn't that actually change the concepts themselves in reality because of how his reality warping works?

Dragon, that is a terrible idea. Assuming that Mid-Godly is in full effect the entirety of Qlipoth World is inaccurate and unsupported wank.

Real wank is something actually substantiated.

Something like the PTs resisting all of Yaldy's hax by virtue of not getting affected by them again during their rematch, thus forcing Yaldy into fighting them head-on. After all, their suits are supposed to protect them from cognitive distortions, and the post-jailbreak power-up clearly prevented them from being brushed aside in the rematch like they were during their first encounter with the HG.

That said, I'll save that for a different CRT.

The problem is, most characters with Mid-Godly have it function as a sort of resurrection and not some instant regen. It's likely more something that happens when they are killed. But first off, don't accuse me of wank when I say it should be just mid-godly when they have a blatant mid godly feat and have shown Low Mid regen beforehand. Like do not even ******* start with me understand? We treat no other characters like this.

Woah man, chill. It was a joke, if you couldn't tell from my immediately calling my own follow-up thoughts "real wank".

No I couldn't tell and it was not obvious to me. As when initially reading your comment I did not see the joke. Reading it now, I see it so I'll apologize on this front.

Well to go back on topic, I didn't hear anyone respond to my suggestion yet. I was curious on what you guys think.

In all seriousness....I cannot answer your concept stuff as how we handle concept stuff nowadays confuse the hell outta me.

I'm not sure what this means. Mid-Godly is Mid-Godly. I don't see how it could be considered any better qualitatively unless we consider conceptual erasure to be superior to existence erasure. Although considering how the High-Godly/True-Godly Regen revisions are going, this may or may not become relevant depending on if we consider Yaldy's type 4 to be effectively type 2.

Your strike through text is spot on actually. Mid-Godly means you come back from nothing. 90 percent of the time, it is because of Void Manipulation or EE. Conceptual Erasure should usually be better then EE; considering erasing your concept >>> erasing your body and soul. We accept this for High-Godly and True-Godly. Plus, Yaldy erased the Phantom Thieves AND erased their memory/perception inside peoples minds. So it is naturally better then EE based on the context alone.

So by that line of logic, the Phantom Thieves have High-Godly once the revisions go through. Christ.

No, no. You misunderstand. I only suggest we clarify Mid-Godly and Concept Erasure Type 4. That is it. I am just saying it in similar to High-Godly as in. It is a type of conceptual erasure.

I mean, erasing the type 4 concept is the same as erasing the type 2 concept with how Yaldy's reality warping works. So it's basically Conceptual Erasure, since he's also erasing the foundation of their existence on top of their mind, body and soul.

Bumping for more input on this ^^^

Still think it is fine since I advocated it. I asked this question during regen revisions and it was brushed aside cuz there was more pressing matters. I could make an elaborate defense, but I think my larger point is still the same. Conceptual Erasure >>>> EE Plus, it is closer to Conceptual Erasure more then EE for Yaldy anyway. Considering he erased concepts more so then just...erasing people.
