Ok, so I was looking online and found this dude do a calc for KCM Naruto and the A The Raikage, based on this scan.

Since it was stated that the Double Lariat requires rushing at ALMOST the speed of light, he did multiple calculations and this is how it went.

The 3rd Raikage's headband crest is 9 pixels tall.

His body is 372 pixels tall.

In the scan with A the 4th punching naruto the headband is 74px tall. This makes each pixel wide.

First to figure out far A is from the viewer. A is 328px tall and has an official height of 1.982 meter.

This is the same as 5.2557214841136925543 degrees. Using the angisizing calculator we can figure out that Naruto is 0.54031m away. Using this we can determine that Naruto moved 4.01169m. This makes him 72.994896148912361145227762766451 times faster than the Raikage.

We don't accept this statement here, and this is an translation error, it is not "almost the speed of light", it is the speed of light itself. Even if we accept, some ends would be an outlier

That's just wrong, Naruto dodges a beam of light in the war and Hokage naruto dodges a laser. Not to mention that Haku sasys he moves at light speed between his mirrors. Sub relativistic is an EXTREME lowball for the higher ups in the narutoverse because that would imply that they are only 10x faster than the 14 yo kakashi who cut a lightning bolt in half before it ever touched the ground
 
Oh calm down. It is because Haku's mirror are an outlier here, we don't accept. Same thing with Light Fang, but I made a CRT about, we can finally get this accepted
 
Light Fang does not show any properties of being lightspeed, and even the way it works contradicts it as being lightspeed as it is highly focused lightning used through an application of Storm Release

There is a discussion going on at the moment about accepting the Light Fang as legit lightspeed. Doesn't scale to anyone else and it only goes for Madara's Attack Speed. However it's not accepted yet.

The databook says that it cuts through all things at the speed of light and the idea that fictional lightning is only the speed of irl lightning is incredibly misguided. That would mean that six paths naruto can barely react to kid kakashi's raikiri too. Not to mention that adult hokage naruto dodges a laser beam from delta and Tengai Shinsei calcs in at ftl no matterr if you say it was from orbit or the asteroid belt, and saying that haku's travel speed and light fang are outliers still leaves the databook directly stating that v1 raikage is the speed of light
 
We don't accept Delta's beams as lightspeed so that is irrelevant and not every time Naruto dodged them came up to lightspeed.

Raikage is damn sure not lightspeed.
 
I assumed that none of those would be accepted but the question still stands, why? I don't understand why every significant feat or statement for naruto characters is simply written off as an outlier or unaccepted. I'm new here so I'd appreciate if you would just explain why feats and statements are simply called outliers without a moment's notice and I can't get an explanation as to why anywhere
 
The databook says light fang is unavoidable and unlockable(both are valid translations) because it moves at the speed of light. That doesn't change the fact that it doesn't act like light.

Fictional lightning moves at the speed of lightning unless there is a feat that makes it faster.

Not all lasers are ftl

No one has ever dodged tengai shinsei or even really reacted to it. In addition even if it got to earth at ftl speeds it clearly isn't moving that speed when falling

Haku's speed and the databook on the raikage are hyperbolic statements. I also don't remember the databook calling the raikage sol anyway
 
So I'm not going to argue that the giant meteor was still moving at speeds faster than light, but the series makes it pretty clear that the storm release jutsu we are seeing are the speed of light or just light. here are databook statements to support light fang speed, storm release laser circus speed anf the raikage's speed and it'sreferencing his v1 chakra cloak here

The raikage thing is hyperbole and meant to hype up the reader hence all the exclamation points. It also only says almost the speed of light anyway.

Light fang has been decided not to be light speed many times. There is a thread going on about it right now but it wouldn't scale to anyone and would be for Madara's attack exclusively
 
So what I'm hearing is that the wiki has an standard for what is or isn't light and therefore they can disqualify anyhting that doesn't match said subjective standard. The idea that light can;t bend is incredibly preposterous seiing as lightning release is said to reflect said light off of water droplets

that feat doesn't even make sense canonically. If the Raikage is only near light speed at his full potential and Haku IS light speed at his. Where does that even put Naruto?
