OPM Databook

I need some clarification on the One Punch Man databook and it's authenticity, it says Boros is capable of destroying the planet yet (as far as I know) in all 3 formats of the series (Anime, Manga, Webcomic) he says it would only destroy the crust of the earth.

If anyone has some insight to this it would be gretly appreciated.

If I remember it was pretty much said in the handbook that he could destroy the planet's surface or the planet. They were ambigious on which but hey that could just mean it's Multi-Continental to Planet. Anime is more Planetary though. Webcomic wise, no clue

The databook is the official companion to the manga.

He also only says he's going to destroy the Earth's surface in the manga, which the databook suggests is not true (the whole planet would be destroyed).

In the anime he says he'll blow up the planet and in the webcomic he says nothing.

Yes but that doesn't awnser the question of validility, is there any type of source that confirms it being official?

IIRC, It is not written by ONE or Murata, but the feature in certain parts and acknowledge it as being a companion to the manga.

Well what I really would like is some link or notation to some direct evidence, a Q and A, an interview, statements, something from Murata or ONE that indicate the databook as being official as i've been arguing it's validility for a little bit but have yet to be shown sufficieant evidence for such claims.

Lemme dig. Most of it is still entirely in Japanese, though this is ONE and Murata talking in the Q & A section, and it seems many of their answers were added to the characters' profiles.
