One Piece General Discussion: Elbaph

These statements exist

It's from Ace Novel right?
we accept that as canon see in Ace vsb there is that

Nah. With Whitebeard it's very weird. They use the term "sekai", which also translates to "society". Whitebeard's statement seems more or less akin to "He can destroy all civilization" rather than actually world destruction.
Which is consistent with his fruit causing tsunamis (and drowning everything or whatever). Until there's statements that use "The earth" or "The Planet", it's pure speculation.
But what about the world itself

My brother in christ we accepted other verses hitting 5B and 6B off statements alone just because the statement itself was crystal clear.
yeah…ik.
This isn't up for debate until it's actually given/shown anyway, so might as well just leave it tbh. We're arguing over an assumption that doesn't exist yet
yeah…ik. there’s a clear distinction between capabilities and maxing out. but I’ll leave it at that.

Dang, he really hit you with the "brother in Christ", huh?

I didn't see no dodge. Zoro slashed his gun and he shit himself.
It's that way in the anime too. "Dodge" is how Sanji moved out the way when Zoro cut the cliff. Queen just had a heart attack lol
Are you kidding me right now?

We literally see Queen go from holding his Exite Bullet Minigun, to having his hand up to dodge Zoro cutting the gun.

Doesn't look like he dodged to me tbh. Just panicked. But perceptions differ I guess. How'd that scene go in the anime?

Bro what are you talking about? That's a clear dodge.
Nothing indicates it's a dodge. He didn't even time the swing or anything. He was too busy trying to shoot only for the cut to happen out of nowhere and catch him off guard.
Agree to disagree I guess-

He literally had his hand on the gun. The gun got sliced, Queen's hand was then in the air, and he avoided being cut. How is that not a dodge?

no, it means there's a lot of god tiers, and they aren't drastically higher than the top tiers
Hypothetically, if in Elbaf (if it happens at all as an arc) Big Mom's lifespan thing forces Luffy to have another form/state/anything at all idk that's like x4 or something over his wano rating.. Wouldn't that just make the previous wano god tiers "top" tiers, and create new God Tiers?
I doubt Kaido and the previous god tiers chain will be upscaled if Big Mom, Luffy or other characters (who'd reasonably scale to/above Luffy) get amps as well

If there's a "Planet level" statement within the verse eventually and it's repeated more than once it's acceptable regardless of whether or not the characters are three billion times weaker lmao.

This isn't just for One Piece mind you. I think it's unfair to do it for any verse if author/canon statements are clear as daylight. For now WB "destroying the world" is more or less just a statement because there are no means specified and "the world" can just mean civilization itself, not the planet. (Because let's be fair destroying the WG, a symbol of world justice, is basically destroying the foundation of the world)
If Blackbeard comes out and says he can "destroy the planet" then a lot of people have to cope and move on.
I've heard people (outside this wiki) say they'll drop One Piece if they become planetary ☠️
