Given that Hakai is spiritual energy and is retained when transferring to another body, I think it makes sense that they can beat up souls without corporealizing them. They're the same thing.

The HoloDragon is stay in its position, she punched the electron that shaped, even our 2D projector, we can block the light but not the light movement, if we have the same gloves we can also punch it without move at Light speed
